I set off Wednesday night, any last minute tips?
Just go there with a clear head and don't think about any possible mishaps, if you can.
It's really not half as daunting as you may imagine once you're on there, so long as you drive sensibly and give other cars plenty of space. Don't go chasing times or other cars you may think are 'lesser' than you (you know the ones that truly know the track once you've had a standard diesel A6 come stonking past you!), just go at a pace that you feel comfortable with and you'll natually find yourself enjoying it.

Make sure your car is in working order, right tyre pressures no leaks etc and dont go chasing times! Think of it as a massive b road you dont know and drive it the same way. You wont learn it while you are there so approach every lap the same way ;)

i totally agree although thats really hard to do, i've done a lot of local track days but nothing can compare to the Nurburgring! i went out 1st lap really really slowly, because i was so amazed at the cambers, inclines etc but then my passenger timed my 2nd run and it was a race against the stop watch from there on in, i managed a 9:04 after 12 laps in a standard Dc2 integra! wooohooo!
