Welcome to the club mate :wavey:
Iv had mine for nearly 2 years now.. cracking bit of kit. Only issue iv had is a leaky rad but iv heard of some blowing engines but I think this us pretty rare lol.
If your going to be tracking it a lot you will probably need to uprate the brakes. The standard ones are not not really up to the job

The paint on the wheels is very thin, so check that for chipping. The red wheels seem worse for some reason. The cage seems to be a very desired option, the exhaust less so. The tyres are also very expensive so look for one with plenty of tread left.
I've been out on track a number of times now and tbh the standard brake set up copes fine for me. Ive changed the fluid to DOT 5.1, but apart from that theyre stock. Check the car steers and pulls up nicely. No pulling this way or that and no grinding noises. Mileages tend to be quite low so that`s a good thing. I have 2 services a year, rather than the scheduled 1, simply because of the extra wear from trackdays.
Otherwise, they seem pritty bulletproof tbh, touch wood!! Awesome car.

Had a few little niggles with mine, but all has come good out of it.
Had a new set of front discs, as the originals had cracked. Did about 6 track days on them, so they took a battering. A few others have had the same issue. Got them replaced under warranty and put a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads in at the same time. Very pleased with the results now.
Also had my exhaust baffles go, but managed to get a Titanium system fitted free of charge, due to them not being able to supply a direct replacement.
As said, check tyre wear. R888's have shot right up in price. £180 each in most cases.
I've kept my wheels very well waxed and sealed, but the paint is very thin. Almost pink on the insides.
Apart from the things mentioned, I can't fault it. Absolutely 100% the best car I've ever owned. Had mine nearly 16 months now. Fantastic drivers' car.

Would have thought it would be cheaper to get them painted unless you plan on selling the other set

Simple answer have both. That way you have wets and semi slicks. You will get 4 wheels in the back too so you can come to track on road tyres and save the wear on semi's. Paint on my red ones seems fine. Black ones seem ok too ;)

Yes they are mate.
The owner of the site works for Renault so gets a very nice discount and then works from home on his website.
All legit and never had any issue with my past purchases.

If you are keen on a new set, I'd make an offer to him.
I got a set for £720 from Nottingham Renault. Brand new in boxes. He had them up for £950 on ebay
