Jon,
Lisa has been onto our dealer and spoken to a lady who has already been on a course about the Phase II. They said that is just pure exterior styling thats been changed and the interior specs remain the same.
Drop me a line if you hear of something different.
Regards
Adrian
uncle 30-01-2006, 13:55:03 This is the information I have found. The press releases are all giving the same information. I for one will want to order the facelift due to the added extras at no extra cost. I am at a loss as to why renault do not have the same information.
Improvements to standard Renaultsport models
Just as the rest of the Megane range receives various tweaks as part of its face-lift, so do the three Renaultsport models.
The changes are mainly cosmetic, and Renault has attempted to differentiate more between the standard 225 model and the 225 Cup version. The latter receives blue and black 'Scotec' cloth interior, while the standard car now has full leather interior, climate control, and 60-Watt CD/MP3 player as standard. Prices for the updated models remain the same.
Megane Renaultsport prices
2.0T Renaultsport 3dr £19,500
2.0T Renaultsport 5dr £20,000
2.0T Renaultsport Cup 3dr £18,600
2.0T Renaultsport 225 Cup 3dr £19,500
hello adrian.Yes it was Lisa who called me this morning.I was in 2 dealers yesterday who both confirmed that leather and climate will be standard on face lifted model.I also read it on a news letter sent to me by renaultsport but seem to have deleted it so i'am currently trying to get some info from somewhere.Yet again brilliant work by Renault not even knowing what spec their cars are going to have.

Jono,
this happens all the time with manufacturers ;-( (- the press boys no whats happening before the dealers.)
All I can say is that this is great news for NEW 225 owners..
Adrian
andy bassett 30-01-2006, 15:06:57 ok so you get the following aswell over the old 225
even with more standard equipment like climate control, full leather interior and 60W CD/MP3 RDS radio on the Mégane Renaultsport 225
i would still pay less and have the cup over the standard 225 as its a 99% better handling car, even if it did mean loosing the climate and full leather.
any way thats IMO, still would like to see one of those F1s in the flesh
Does anyone know where the new ULTRA BLUE colour can be veiwed.Again Renault hasn't updated its web site to include the face lift models or colours.
BuyMyNewCar.co.uk 30-01-2006, 15:42:31 Have a look here... loads of F1's in Ultra blue

BlackRat250 30-01-2006, 17:46:48 don'y forgetthe dash lights up a different colour now aswell
Matmaxedout 30-01-2006, 17:52:03 and dont forget that you don't have to keep setting the auto wiper, as it's a self setting switch, so they will work straight away when ever it starts to rain. so no more turning them off then back to auto any more
like thats a hard thing to do anyway??????
andy bassett 30-01-2006, 19:48:03 don'y forgetthe dash lights up a different colour now aswell

andy bassett 30-01-2006, 19:52:10 this aint fair. they print one thing and say and do another,

shinyautos.com 30-01-2006, 19:52:15 nope......wrong.....

andy mate....check the pics at www.press.renault.co.uk
andy bassett 30-01-2006, 19:58:29 i still cant see a standard 225 with blue/white dash lights.
but ill take your word for it. :D
check out meetings etc about my enstone proposal.
andy bassett 30-01-2006, 20:05:19 if you get the numbers mate im in :D
Got to convince the press and PR Director that its worth allowing us to go.
meggerman 31-01-2006, 15:00:22 err is it me or has the whole Renault sport Megane thing gone down as a mighty big flop.
firstly release the car with overassited steering and priced at £20,000 (remember most people buy from dealership at full list and end up paying loads hence why you can see low earning peeps in great cars just because there more clued up)
then release an exclusive model (trophy) in order to boost sales and tweak the car to be a more focused drivers car rather than the GT it was designed to be (prompt Laguna GT 205hp version for that role) yet still keep stock 225 to be confusing
then, if you can get over the arse (which 9/10 peeps cant after all this time) and the fact you spend £20,000 on a renault hatchback with high insurance and tax etc when there are other less odd looking cars around that in some peoples opinion can function better you release another model called the "Cup" which is a trophy, but its not, but it can make a 225 a cup, which is then practically a trophy.
finally price them all differently yet allow for the cheapest cup to out price the most expensive, the stock 225 with a few options which makes it a trophy and then finally release and "F1 !!" version  with optional stickers on front rear bumper, optional recaro`s or full leather and in a different colour with the cup pack wheels but in black
finally lose interest and buy a Focus ST
.. which btw i think is great. what it means is peeps like us can buy a brand new prefacelift 225cup for £14895 !! from buymynewcar, a huuuge saving and so much cheaper than LCR, CTR, WRX etc.. and in honesty although v.close the 225 actually a tiny bit faster than all of those imo especially the lighter cup.
for the new facelift its full leather or recaros`s, better safety than others, miles more rarer and unquie and will remain so until finally become cheap enough for the clio owners to purchase 2nd hand. havent seen many of its competitors with full leather, loads of safety features like collapsable pedals, PassengerSurvivalShell, airbags a plenty including rear lateral option. climate, xenon, elctric folding mirrors, keycard entry, push button start and all the other dudey features.
also seen as there a massive flop and there is model confusion within even the dealerships used prices can be silly also and now there is a facelift the full spec prefacelifts are not worth as much even though i prefer the way they look and can be fully spec`d up. surley anyone who is into hothatches wants a Cup/F1/Trophy.. how many people will want to spend £15,000 on a prefacelift stock 225 ? none, so there gonna go for £12,500 on 04 plates with under 15k on the clock thats 182 money !
im pleased the range is varied (good for meets) lots of options and colours
and new variants. it keeps prices keen and makes the megane225 scene more vibrant for us forum users.
hurahh for the ecentric megane and hurahh for the publics herd like mentality not liking them
andy bassett 31-01-2006, 15:30:56 its all there prices that get me, the cup is cheaper than a standard 225 but the cup is the better car of the 2,

meggerman 31-01-2006, 20:30:38 Meggerman, do you ever write short topics?
well.... its a long story
denty225 02-02-2006, 00:28:17 I read somewhere that the F1 was not going to be a limited number run like the Trophy was. Any one confirm this?
i spoke to the brand manager today about that and apparently its not a limited run but more of a limited availability.....so like they will take orders for a certain period of time as opposed to a certain number of cars being available.
andy bassett 02-02-2006, 08:01:03 its bloody typical of renault again, how can you not have a limited no of cars but sell the car over a limited time, i bet you my car wen they well 500 they will say the limited time is up.
said they would do again like the williams,
prob release the easter bunny model soon :?: availible for 1 week only

BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 14:41:02 thought this is the F1
shinyautos.com 09-02-2006, 14:42:26 Thats the f1 as it hasn't got a center arm rest.
not if i am translating "Photos presse de la Mégane RS phase 2" properly
shinyautos.com 09-02-2006, 14:43:26 Hmmm :? :?
BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 14:43:29 where are you looking mate ?

all here
http://medias.rs-team.org/galerie/index.php?cat=3
shinyautos.com 09-02-2006, 14:47:49 Your right mate! Hence the F1 has got the plaque on it! :)
Don't they come with arm rests now then?
BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 14:48:15 not the f1
shinyautos.com 09-02-2006, 14:49:52 not the f1
The pic above which isn't the f1 hasn't got one has it?
BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 14:50:46 i think if its got bucket seats, it doesn't have an arm rest. might be wrong. something i heard.
looks to me like if its a new spec car its not gonna have the armrest: std, cup or F1
BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 15:03:42 im sure ive seen some pics with armrests in. have to have a look.
In france, the Renaultsport doesn't come with a centre armrest, only the Luxe version does.
BlackRat250 09-02-2006, 15:31:34 that'll be why then. if we get some pics of the right hand drive, bet they come with an armrest.
geordiemegane 09-02-2006, 18:25:43 also have you guys noticed that on the renault sport web site tech spec 0-62 is 6.5 but in performance it is 6.3 sec???
