My mam has a 2008 1.6 megane. Dont know which one it is just know that.

The problem is her boot wont open.

When she uses the key card and presses the boot button, it just does nothing. Ive had my ear close enough and cant hear the lock doing anything.

I tried to get to the lock today going through the back seats but cant get any of the covers off as it goes round the lock. :(

Any idea what this could be ? Could it be a fuse ? Is the central locking motor broken ?

I replaced a boot switch before on a standard megane, the one I dealt with had same symptoms as that,

The rubber had perforated and had let water into the switch causing it to corrode. I took it apart and cleaned up, but is just as easy to replace because they are fairly cheap. If it's the case for yours then, remove the boot open switch and have a look or replace it.

If it's the lock then they are abit more expensive and abit more fiddly to change.
