When at the Ring last month I got speaking to another chap in a black 26R and noticed that he had a exterior temp just below his digital clock. I didn't know they had one as mine has never worked.

I took it down to my local dealer today and they said that when they checked the car it has never had one fitted from new?

Should it have one fitted or was it an option that came with the climate pack for example?? Mine doesn't have climate.

My thoughts is that it may have been missed off at build time.

Interesting one. I take it you've got the external temp sensor underneath the exterior mirror? I wonder if the wiring is all there but just needs activating with the Renault Clip?

Only fitted on an R with climate.

Along with not fitting cruise control on the .R the missing temperature gauge (in GER you only could spec normal air-con without the gauge) is the most annoying weight saving measure. Other than that, perfect daily drive. But i´d like to know if you could retrofit it without changing the Display?
