Just "won" this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280738934864?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Me and my mate have gone halfs with the idea of stripping it and preparing it for track days.

Will update this thread as things develop.

Any help with upgrades appreciated and if anyone wants to throw in any ideas or thoughts, please do!!!

Thanks

Ashley (& Garth)

Full service history, belts done. Well looked after, cant see there being a problem with the engine. if there is, a replacements is not exactly expensive. But we did go through the same question at the start. ;)

Ye even if you do have to bang another engine in its still dead cheap fun between 2 of you, a freind and i are on about doing the same for next year, we were looking at a 182 cup that another mate of mine may be selling soon and thats only done 40,000 with full service history.

very nice, really fancied doing the same with a friend with a mk1 172 or a cup great cars for the money, and theres loads of them so parts arnt difficult to source

my plan would be when money would allow or parts came up forsale

decent set of brakes and pads for track, stripping, coilovers, sports filter, sports exhaust and decat then 2 buckets! most of those bits are available for a good price on a clio! nice home refurb of the wheels in black would look awesome slammed on the coilovers!

That is DIRT cheap!

You could break it and make almost double your money back if you get bored of tracking it - The wheels alone on reasonable rubber go for £400ish on Cliosport.net :o
