: Scotland Meet - why not????
DCP888 01-11-2006, 13:45:02 All,
I'm currently working in Edinburgh although from England, I have attended a few meets and have really enjoyed getting to know other members/users of this site. The lack of response to the previous Scottish Meet thread was dissappointing to say the least.
There are at least 21 members/users based in Scotland so how comes nobody wants to get together with other owners :?: :?:
Come on Scotland let's sort out a meet :D :D :D
van cleef 01-11-2006, 18:13:40 I'm up for it just depend's where it is because i'm pretty busy at the moment and i'm working seven days of the week just to keep up.Some where like Perth would be a little nearer for me.I personaly would love to come to a meet so people get yourself forward. :D :D :D
DCP888 02-11-2006, 07:45:09 Well done Van Cleef
One down only twenty or so to go,
one member is based where I am have pm'd him re a meet but still no answer
surely can't be that difficult to get other owners together :?: :?:
blue225 02-11-2006, 08:57:10 Perth area sounds ok,good links to Glasgow, Edinburgh,Aberdeen and Inverness, just need a dry, warm, sunny day.Need to find a good venue.

cactusbob 02-11-2006, 09:57:55 I'd come but I don't live in Scotland
DCP888 02-11-2006, 10:02:04 I know mate, bloody long way to come when there's little support locally, perhaps you were right and the locals just don't socialise
van cleef 02-11-2006, 19:52:05 Hey cactusbob get yourself up and we can show you how unmissereable us Scots are. :D
cactusbob 02-11-2006, 20:22:01 That sounds scary
van cleef 02-11-2006, 20:33:21 You should be scared when Glen Morangie and Haggis are involved!
cactusbob 02-11-2006, 20:35:22 It's catching the Haggis that I hear is tricky
Matmaxedout 02-11-2006, 22:00:09 You should be scared when Glen Morangie and Haggis are involved!
id be more scared if you said that we'll be drinking a few bottles of buckfast
van cleef 02-11-2006, 22:15:08 You should be scared when Glen Morangie and Haggis are involved!
id be more scared if you said that we'll be drinking a few bottles of buckfast
Hey buckfast is still an option but it has to be ultra warm for full enjoyment.
DCP888 03-11-2006, 09:14:32 still not enough replies from our Scottish members
come on don't be shy, what's the problem :?: :?:
enough interest then we can sort something out :D :D
well done Van Cleef and blue225
don't know whats wrong with the other 19 members :?:
cactusbob 03-11-2006, 09:25:23 They've probably got ASBOs and aren't allowed out
DCP888 03-11-2006, 09:55:40   LMAO
nice one
blue225 03-11-2006, 11:03:11 There could be more than 20 Scottish members,I only counted the ones that have put their location on the members list.
DCP888 03-11-2006, 11:06:47 Hi blue225,
that's what I based my numbers on ..... probably more, one member is based where I stay but hasn't even replied to a pm, just can't understand what the problem is/isnt
blue225 03-11-2006, 13:54:18 What goes on at these club meets? See if you can tempt these Lads and Lassies up here to come forward and let us know who really is out there in the Highlands and the Lowlands of bonny Scotland.
DCP888 03-11-2006, 20:34:49 Totally dependent on what the general concensus is, previous meets have included meeting up and then having a drive out somewhere, finding a local pub and having a drink or something to eat. basically its the opportunity to get together with other 225 owners, pretty much a social event. No limit to what is arranged as long as everyone agrees and can make it. I can only speak from experience of the few I've been to, but I thoroughly enjoyed it especially meeting new people and making some good friends exchanging experiences with the cars and learning things I was unaware of from other owners.
hope this helps :D :D
blue225 03-11-2006, 21:41:16 Cheers, thanks for all that,I hope now that others up this way read how other owners can have a get together and hopefully lead to something like a regular meet in Scotland.(weather permitting).
thanks blue225.

Wimp at heart thats about it!
What area are you from ?
I live in Woodside which is just a couple of miles away from Coupar Angus! My hubby works for Nova Alarms and has been in Arbroath over the past few weeks and says he's seen a blue 225 there as well as an inferno one near the Scott Fyffe rd'bout in Dundee!! :D
blue225 12-11-2006, 19:06:11 YES, Superb, someone at last has spotted us, waited a long time for that !!!
Yup, apparently he also spotted a silver one over your direction too, so that's at least another three to wave at!! :D :D (or is that just a mini thing?? Do 225 owners wave at others?? In fact, other Evo owners used to wave at me too!! )
blue225 13-11-2006, 13:26:40 The one's i,ve seen localy that were close enough or slow enough to catch the driver's eye,i have given them a nod and a wave.
But my dear wife seems to think i'm a bit sad,but me and my boy don't care !!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!! She'd hate it if you had a mini then, they get very excitable when they pass other mini drivers (usually!!) You even get a code of conduct form when you buy one telling you to flash your lights and wave at other mini owners!! :? :D
