I tell ya what.... I am a derv head! I've been driving a 1.8 Vectra (PILE OF S***!) and it drinks fuel!! I can watch the needle shoot round when driving along, and when I have to travel 60 miles a day to work and back, I hate having to go to the pumps twice a week! My meg can go for at least 10days before she needs a drink. If I get a company car (here's hoping next year, and a that Laguna Estate Diesel with 175bhp most prob) then I'll be looking to get a 225 (230 in white if they'll do me one).
What about you guys? Who else loves the black stuff??

lol. i know what you mean. after getting the clio my fuel bills have almosy doubled. but its worth it i suppose. i do miss going to the black pump and indeed my megane. was such a refined easy car to drive :cry:

Completely understood Shiny, I used to be a petrol head, but I think it's going to take something special to get me back to the green gulch! Maybe a nice girl at my pumps will it for me :lol:

I love the low reving Derv's Too.. Especially as I'm paying 93 Cents a litre (66p).
More importantly the Spanish diesel is much better than UK stuff. Instead of getting 27mpg round town when I was in the UK. I now average 36mpg on a similar daily drive through the lemon groves.
