hi. just driven a 150 scenic tonight actually. you posting a reply alerted me back to this topic. lol.

i absolutey love the new 150 engine. although its still 'tight', only 1400 miles on the clock, it pulls like a train, even in a scenic. sat on the motorway at 70 in 6th, roughly 2000rpm, put my foot down and saw 85 in no time at all. it drives very much different to normal 8 valve diesels (the 150 is a 16 valve unit). in fact it drives almost like a petrol.
As most people know i had my megane 1.9dci up to 150(ish)bhp with 343nm torque. this in torque terms is almost identical to the new unit so should be *almost* comparable to the new 150 GT, in performance terms.

IMO i would go for a 150 GT. i think you'd be onto a scotcher of a diesel megane. if and when a remap becomes available for it, it'd make a very capable car. im pretty sure you could see a reliable gain up to 175bhp, if not a little more. even without the remap it would be such a easy drive, but fun when the time aroused, which i found when i had my dci meggy = best of both worlds :)

also, where are you based?

any other questions, just ask!!

damn i hope so!!

andy, the 150 in the scenic and megane are both diesels. the 150 scenic doesnt look any different to the normal one. the only reason the megane is a 'gt' is because it has a body kit on it.

Silver and Dark Gray,,, cant remember what the correct name is...

Just one thing if anybody else has been running a 20 dCI/ Both our cars puff out a bit of blue smoke when we start up in the morning,, never seen this on any of my past 1.5 DCI's...... Comments?

May be a bit of residual oil from manufacture? Is the oil level corect on the dip stick?
I get none from my 19dci.
May be worth a visit to the dealer for your piece of mind?
