Own and run Shiny Autos.com A car lighting company.

We've only recently gone retail, as we were only wholesale to start with.

Also have set up a new company building custom demo quad bikes, with tv's and dvd's in them for example.

Also have a quad bike team called Team Shiny.

Phil,

I was Scott Sqn 82C. Originally a Radio Relay Tech then they merged us with TE techs and we became Systems Techs. Before I left the System Engineer thing was on the horizon, as was Bowman !!! How long has that system been talked about
I think I left at the right time in 97, the Telecoms Job market was good and house prices were still low. Now have a 4 bed detached with a mortgage of only 14% of the houses value :D :D :D
I wouldn't really like to be leaving the Army now !!

Why is it when you upgrade to SKY+ they come and want to use all your existing wires and stuff and then get upset when you say no ... If you are paying £200 plus you should get new dish and new cables ...

Matmaxedout
12-02-2006, 20:53:06
to answer all questions,

you cant wipe off the films, so if youv'e used that advice from ebay to get free films, a carefull warning for you, it only works for so long then you just get billed for all the films youve got stored on your card/box.

as for the sky+ upgrade your buying a new box only, usually it only requires a new lnb to be installed, as the dish is only a mirror to reflect the signal onto the lnb (box on the end of the arm) with a new cable run from the dish, as it need 2 cables to operate. but a good engineer will always check your signal and if its not up to standard would replace it all.

I'm was a Telecoms Engineer in the Call Centre arena... but now I'm a "Tier 2 System Integrator / Consultant" working mainly from home.
Basically, I work for one of the worlds largest Contact Centre providers, and integrate our Call Management System reporting data in to 3rd party servers (like Work Force Management, Call Routin etc etc) via various scripts that we deploy.

Really boring, but it pays the bills.
