went to a garage 5 mins away to have alook at there induction kit and they have got some new carbon fibre ones that they are designing and selling them selves and they are fooking the tits, managed to get mine booked in to have one made up for the 225 so will keep you updated on that.

any way mentioned i was getting the car re-maped the weekend and told him that i would like to get the car rolling roaded b4 and after so he said chuck it on the rollers now and ill do it for you, sweet :D .

well all i can say is im well happy, all the car has had done is the larger intercooler put on and the zorst back box removed.

on the second run it hit 247BHP :D (FW)
and 218BHP :D (WLS)

even the guy said from 222BHP at the flywheel standard to 247BHP with just the intercooler and zorst they are graet figures..

have booked it in for a re run next week.
lets hop pauls re-map will boost these readings right up .

Fantastic! thats what BBPT quoted with the cone filter and exhaust

I told you you'd be near 300 with it all done!

well im just hopeing that if pauls is running 265-270bhp standard with no extra bits on then with any luck mine should hit with those rolling road figures around 290-300BHP at the flywheel  :D

lets see wat happens.

paul any idea on wat output i should get at a guess

diminishing returns but yea when RS-Tuning develop the full turbo back system (i want a sports cat on mine though) intercooler fitted + induction + remap then i would guess err.. 290hp would be possible, who knows you may hit the magic 300.

but 290bhp is more than even the Leon Cupra R with revo`s they hit 260-270 and even the ones that hit 280hp doesnt matter as the megane weighs less muahah

So Andy dare I say it, will you be going EVO hunting after the re-map?

I think its a good figure to start with, especially without the ECU being touched
An extra 22-25Bhp from a filter, intercooler and removing a backbox are good!
I think the intercooler will become even more beneficial when the boost goes up with the remap

think ill wait to see wat the remap gives me first. who knows it might still come out at the 270BHP mark even with the map and extra bits, but theni could add 40bhp on top of wat iv got and maybe even more wen the decat goes on

Well done on those figures mate, that is a real touch considering that what you've done so far aren't major modifications.

Just need to get mine run in and I'm gonna get my wallet out hahaha. :D

Looking forward to see what you get out of it with the re-map.

Slightly  lets just say the difference between night and day.
I think its the most cost effective bhp/torque for your pounds you can by at the mo.
Plus you got the benefit of the custom cooler which i havent yet.
Bet you cant wait.
Oh and btw dont expect to save on your fuel (like your bothered about that ) cause once you got the map you wont be able to resist.

Best of of luck and watch out for plod.

And let me know what you think.

Cheers Jas

his car got shagged during the remap...its in the workshop at the moment as the ECU didnt like the map.

Check the tuning thread

Not a reflection of the map, just the fact Andy's car is a euro 4 compliant engine with new type ecu. I think the file types are different

Thank god mines an older one as i'm hoping to get it done at FCS, just gotta win the missus round as she drives the car day to day.

Dont let the wife put you off mines not noticed as she drives like a lady. She did say it seems faster but i just said thats the beauty of good servicing
Would hate her to be in a real hurry though

cheers

which rolling road was it on?
It would be interesting to see what a std rs would have made, maybe its over reading a bit still even if it is by +10bhp its still a impressive result for the mods.

ps: my old mans 225 didn't like the rollers as the esp kept cutting in as the rear wheels weren't turning :(

that reading was from a standard 225 but if you mean one with out the intercooler iv got my old read out some where from my blue 225 hat never had the cooler ect

also if your rolling roading a standard 225 with permanent esp/traction you need to take the fuse out in the glove box or it will not give a true reading on the rollers.

denty225

Rip the fuse for the ABS out if your on the rollers or the car goes mad. If you cant see any fuses its cos they are covered with tape (honest!).
