Just thought I would put up a list of problems past and present with my car as I dont think I have previously, makes for entertaining reading as I am sure you will agree:

Toxic fume indicator-- dodgy injectors
front bumper not secured properly
new n/s headlamp
drivers seat jammed
clutch went and hydraulic hose was not clamped resulting in 5 weeks in garage
front suspension knocking
new steering wheel as it came loose in my hands whilst driving
new keyless door handle
new door handle vibrating at motorway speeds
returned vehicle due to engine/gearbox not put back in properly
replaced various clips and bolts that had been lost or sheared off

Still work outstanding:

trim vibrating on drivers door (from new)
boot touches body work
both doors touch body work
battery tray broken
engine cover broken
n/s rear light moisture inside
inner drivers door release handle broken
idles roughly sometimes at 1000rpm and sometimes at 750rpm
front suspension knocking
and more rattles than mothercare!!!

The dealer is Tates of Brighton!!

Vurtually bugger all they blame the dealer and the dealer blame Renault for not allowing them to pay for the problems to be solved and the finance company say if you dont pay we will repossess!!

Jamie, cant' you make a right good letter to the head office and say you wanna chop it in for a new one and you want rid of this one or you will go to watchdog or the newspapers?

Seeing as renault have a few new models they seem to be plugging alot lately it wouldn't be very good advertising for them...

does your nut it don't it.

I would mate as a car when it gets probs like that is no use to anyone.

A friend of my dads had shed loads of problems with a bmw, and they basically said no like with you.

He got a big banner with all his problems on and put it on his car and parked right outside the dealers, 30 minutes later they came out and said ok we'll replace it for a new one...

What about Renault Aftercare mate? I think they have to look into all cases. Just shout loud and mention Trading Standards. That should do it
