Lets be honest, colour options on a new Cup are a bit limited now....


Albi Blue (they aint even made any with this colour yet and I cant find an image of 1)
Ultra Blue.. (the reason for my post...a riddle wrapped in an enigma)
Black (I dont like black with the anthracite rims :( )
Inferno (its not to my taste)

So for me its really Albi Blue or Ultra Blue

Well I had an '04 225 in Arctic and so the Albi is a bit too much of the same. So its the Ultra.

But wtf is it with this colour. On some pics its blue, on others its bloody purple.

So I went to the delearship for clarity. He showed my their pics (same as those on many websites) and ffs they r MORE purple.

So I dont know what colour Ultra Blue is. I think I am going to have to see one before committing but that might mean a 3 month delay.

In the meantime I have a testdrive in a Focus ST tomorrow. Cant wait forever ;p

I would go for the Albi

look at the red one they done, how many people now have red and they stopped doing that colour so they wll be rare as with the silver cups like mine as they stopped doing silver to.

from wat ren told me yesterday they think they wont do silver againunless they release another megane 225 ii

Not a bad idea if your not sure - if your wanting a safe bet go for the Albi m8.

You would expect the ultra blue to give you a hint of purple, the clue I think is in the name Ultra, as in ultra violet, You will be able to see these cars in the flesh soon. My local dealer is getting one in as they have already ordered, but as you say by the time you see it and then have a 10 week minimum lead time from order its a long wait.

IMO the Ultra blue looks a V.nice colour and I think all the pics (apart from the press release due to it being taken in a studio) will give you an idea of what it will look like in different conditions. I get at least 3 colours out of my inferno from dull days to sunny days and also in artificial light it always changes.

To get it quick you gotta take the plunge, thats what I did on the Inferno as i'd only seen press release pics when I ordered. And IMO I made the right choice :D :D :D :D :D

Yes Black cars are nice when they are polished - any other time they look dirty / streaky.

the the anthracite rims are well easy to clean and look the nuts on black/gold car, they look good on any colour 225 with the colours availible at the mo, its the black shiny ones that are horrid to look at.

yes had front ones done at the same time 250 fitted, will post some more if i can find them but its not a great pic as they really look blackish not blue but i can see what you mean matey............. :lol: :lol:
