Need new front brakes and discs for my 1.9dci.
I have been quoted 214 pounds from Kwik Fit all incl. + an oil and oil filter change.
Is this expensive or a good price? - i guess it is equiv renault parts from their supplier?
I have also been looking at changing to some OMP grooved front discs and pads. Is this worth it and I could just get them fitted at a small garage?
Any advice is great

whatever you do, dont use the OMP stuff. i had the pads on my DCi. they were the worst things ever. no feel to them and faded like hell. you could always try some DS2500 pads if they make them for the DCi with some Brembo high carbon discs.
kwik-fit will probably use chocolate parts for that price and crap oil. i'd use genuine oil and filter. you could try to do it all yourself, it'd be cheaper!

make sure they're not Delphi pads and discs, they're rubbish!! They're worse than the faded discs and pads I had originally for stopping, especially in the wet.

I'm going to do it myself, I got a haynes book and reckon I can do it.
Only thing is, I want to make it a little more stylish, some drilled or grooved discs and some couloured pads.
Not sure where to get them from, have been searching the net.
Any suggestions?
Also would I need any other parts, clips etc?

Well I guess I'll go up to 200 as the quote from kwik fit.
I have found this web site www.motorsportworld.co.uk
and the bremo drilled or grooved discs stand out + either brembo or greenstuff pads but pricey, but may fork it out, maybe cheaper else where?
But it's pretty hard to understand what I can put on my car, 1.9dci 02> (is a 52 plate new style).
Is it compatible with megane 99> or I have seen Megane estate/saloon 02> ????
I know it's not the most common car that ppl may be modding!

you can only get the stuff that is 02> (post 2002 as this was when the megane 2 was realeased)
try yozzasport as thats where i got my kit for the clio from. dont quote me on this but i seem to remember the kits are the same for the megane and clios. i have this kit: http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/store/proddetail.php?prod=cliors_182_172_cup_trophy_gree nstuff_brake_kit. these should fit yours, although they are not the grooved/drilled discs, you cant grumble for the price. no idea if the ss brakelines will fit though.
could anyone confirm that the megane and clio parts are interchangable? im pretty sure, just need a second opinion.
see what sort of deal they can do you with the brembo Max grooved discs and the greenstuff pads.
