I had a little trip off the road and have buckled my front left alloy on my 1.9dci.

It is a 16" but a privilage (2002) range (not seen many on road like mine and non on ebay at mo).

So if having to buy from Renault may be expensive?

Was thinking of modding upto 18" on my 1.9dci, would this be possible?

Any recommendations or advice?

I was in Halfords today and there were some nie ones that I like for 500 pounds with tyres but 17", they look massive.

Any ideas 18" or 17" guys?

Also I find my ride at the moment is very spongy, goes up and down a lot. Would I need new springs ?

you'd be fine with 18's buddy. dont be scared by the size of 17's though when looking at them off the car. renault offered 17's as an option on meganes.

what sort of style you looking for? theres plenty of places that are cheaper than Halfrauds.

or you could still buy mine ;) lol

dont go for cheap springs, they'll make noises as they dont sit in the spring seats properly and they'll corrode after a while. this has happened on my Dci and its happened on mabnkat's 2.0cc (see here: http://meganesport.net/community/showthread.php?t=7010)

i'd go for some Eibachs or something high end as you shouldnt get these problems. remember, you get what you pay for at the end of the day!

cheers

Try ebay, I picked up a set of 18" RS4 replica alloys fitted with Toyo T1-S tyres for £600 for the wifes Audi A4 :-)
