: will a xenon lamp fit my 225
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 08:15:39 the atempt at fitting the new style head lamp from the face lift megane is a bust as they have made them slightly bigger :x never mind.
my next question is will the xenon headlamp fit, i know it must fit as its the exact same just the inside are different but will all the bulbs from my lamp fit into the new one and keep it in mind iv got my new HID kit to go into the the xenon bit of the lamp which is also a H7 fitment same as the ren one i think,
so alex if you read this can you get me a price please and pm it to me.
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 08:19:45 knowing Renault the price is going to be quite high. Make sure your sitting down when you read alexs pm.
Are you looking for the complete xenon headlamp unit? How about from here?

BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 08:29:18 Well spotted mate. Are they original renault parts or copies?
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 08:30:46 Andy, something else to bear in mind is the auto height adjustment? Can you manually operate the height with the xenon lights in your car? Or are you going to fit the auto height?
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 08:57:00 well if i fit them to my standard lights i got now they have got the auto level thing on them so it will still work wat ever bulb i put in, as for the new lamp like yours good question, will cross that bridge wen i get to it
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 08:59:07 so that £108 per side
is that plus vat
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 10:58:43 Just had a look, yes it is without vat.
RS-Tuning 15-02-2006, 11:15:42 I believe you need to change the electrics also. May be wrong but i am qute sure they are very different.
Paul
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 11:19:17 i think he's just after the headlight casings and then wire up the hid kit he's got for them. The only problem i can see is the height adjustment. As the xenon are ones are auto adjust. Don't think you can put manual ones on xenon casings.
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 12:40:04 dont need to worry about the elctric side of things, all i want to do is take the bulbs out of mine and fit them into the xenon style lamp.
the xenons are a H7 bulb as are the HID ones iv got coming so they will fit into the hole in the back of the lamp.
full beems are the same H1 and the side lights 501.
as for the levelling it can be done by the scew adjusters on the top of the lamp, only realy need the auto bit wen you got weight in the back oof the car to tilt the light down more.
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 12:51:47 Does the xenon lamps have the screw adjust then?
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 13:12:58 should do, its normaly a 10mm or 8mm plastic nut on the top of the lamp
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 13:14:23 Would you pay that money for them? £126 plus vat?
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 13:20:31 if they are as much agro to fit as asking if they will fit then no
think im just going to put them in the standard lamp, was told this morning they will be alot brighter without the xenon glass dome
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 13:21:17 Why are they brighter?
andy bassett 15-02-2006, 13:22:07 cos you have got the xenon dome in yours i wont
BlackRat250 15-02-2006, 14:14:00 I can't see that making much difference surely.
Well spotted mate. Are they original renault parts or copies?
