Currently he has a TT 3.2 DSG

Thoughts on a suitable replacement? Nothing over 30k!

Noble M12 GTO3, Early M12 Sagaris, Early 996, XKR, XJR (if he's a gent), Proper V8 M5, Late E46 M3........... the list is endless - what's he into?

http://www.dovehousecars.com/stock/details.asp?VehicleID=267 - Would be my choice, alot less than 30K but what a car! Tell him to have a look round the Dovehouse website, if he sees anything he likes call Simon and tell him Matt sent you!

Cheers

What's he into...hmmm...

It's strange really. Coupe/roadster kind of person really. Fun to drive but practical and good on long hauls. Reasonable MPG, preferably RWD or 4WD. Has always wanted a Porsche 911.

I'll take a look at that site Icarus, cheers.

He wants something that will at least keep up with mine, but not the same :)

Is he after new or old?

Has he looked into RS6's, or maybe S2000??

Or a little more luxurious, on trader theres some Jag XKR's and Maserati 3200 for sensible money

Don't buy a 3200 for sensible money - as it'll need unsensible money to keep it happy! Beautiful cars but expensive to maintain and unlike TVR's you can't just find out which bits came from where and fix it with a 13mm spanner!!

A nice 996 C2 would come in around 30K, bit more for a Tip from a dealer with warranty. How about a Z4M? He'd need to find a few K more but that'd bag him a barely used one!

Or just tell him to stop being a poof and buy a Noble - everyone needs one at some point!

If he wants reliable go Japanese (older NSX)

If he wants style & toys go european (911)

I had a look on trader for RS4 but the decent ones are outta his price range, got to agree with the 911 as long as its the 996

Boxster S? They're a nice motor, bit camp looking, but get behind the wheel. I loved the interior..

After I had the car your boss has, I got the 225 - simple realy! Let him drive yours and he'll realise why (depending on what he looks for) :-)
