Hi all, new to the forum......

Thinking about upgrading to a Megane 225 from a clio 172, as i now need to have a 5 door car due to me becoming a dad in the near future.

I have had my clio for nearly 2 years and have managed fine with the runnings costs insurance petrol tyres etc, but was wondering of anyone else has swapped from a clio to a megane and how they found the difference, (if there was any) I currently get around 33-35 MPG in the clio, how much is this likely to decrease by?

Mines about 20 round town, but about 34-35 on the motorway

I upgraded from a 172 to a 225 in January. Get about 30mpg average out of my 225. Was getting up to 40 out of the clio. My megane has got a lpg conversion fitted so it is v cheap to run.
Running cost are kepy low if you drive sensibly.

Did you get the LPG conversion done yourself? I was looking into it but they wanted about £1800 for the job

i got 32 mpg and got 278 miles to dead on half a tank yesterday with 211 mies remaining :D, thatwas doing 80mhp for about 200 of them miles.

not bad as mine bin realy played with :D

I used to average around 40mpg in the clio - its hovering around 33ish in the megane now..
tyres for the megane will be more expensive than the clio
Insurance should be about the same, maybe a little higher due to the value of the car

I get bout 240-260 miles on a full tank of petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

What do people get out of £20? I get about 50 miles around town, but 127 miles when i was doing a longer run.
