Hi guys, does the R26 run on normal unleaded? Or do you have to use super all the time.

I use super for about 1/5 of fill ups on my 182.

Cheers,
Rob

Can run quite happily on normal unleaded, although most people here like to run it on Super

Ok cool, cheers :D

Just noticed on BMNC that price has shot up to £15999 for R26, emailed them and asked, and they've run out of allocated stock, so price wont come down until end of april. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

I'm sure it will run fine on std unleaded but will probably feel better/smoother on super, better throttle response, better at top end and slightly better mpg?!!?

Certainly a tad quicker on Super, but I'm not so sure about better mpg. I've just had a couple of tanks of regular and my mpg has improved over using BP Ultimate. As for smoothness it will just depend on where you get your fuel from. BP, Shell or Total fuel is a lot more "refined" (no pun intended) than supermarket fuel even with the 95 RON products.

Id use standard, but then i don't get paid a lot

Personally, I would only ever use one of the quality super unleaded fuels - Shell V-power, BP Ultimate or whatever.

Until the recent fuel contamination problems, I hadn't realised that most of the supermarket fuels were blended at the same plant and the possibility of the wrong ingredients/blend going to the wrong supermarket seem highly likely to me!

I run mine on Shell V power. Most of the time though i run it on LPG. 40p a litre and cant notice any change in performance.

You may well do, I'm so tempted for a LPG conversion. You got any pics of yours?

Was already fitted when i bought it. Got the receipt with all the paperwork and manuals for it. Cost just under £2k.

See that would take me at least four years to pay back in terms of petrol savings :(

I know. I just fell lucky and managed to find the car i wanted with it fitted. Was an added bonus really. I can get about 3 weeks out of £25 LPG. Makes my old 172 seem like a hummer for consumption.
:)

Can u still remap a car successfully running on LPG fuel then? I spend about £200 a month on fuel
