Well.. as myself and Gareth are putting silly miles on our Clios at the moment we decided to buy a 3rd car for commuting and seeing eachother...

We really want a diesel but there holding their money so well at the moment! so instead... we went for this little petrol beauty!

I LOVE her!

Pug 306, 1.8 XS (better specced than the trophy ;)) with Auto Wipers, Climate and 6 CD changer

69k on the clock and a complete bargain

between us we've racked up close to 8000 miles in 4 months commuting to work and doing other bits and pieces.... the diesel is a logical choice but they hold their money really well so we would have been looking at about 1.5k more than we paid for this for a diesel with similar mileage.

time will tell whether we need a diesel.... but as Amie says we can probably sell this car at profit as we got a fairly good deal :D

Id say if your doing that amount of milege, it will pay to go for a diesel. So when you moving in? lol

elise is probably do-able, but finding one in yellow isnt going to be easy!

the pug seems fairly economical so far.... i don't have the temptation to rag the nuts out of it.... just amble along lol

wouldn't it have made more sense to get a diesel engines 'summat else' though? having said that though it depends on how much you got it for... :p

we're both very fussy.... looked at loadsa stuff over the last few months but the search was narrowed down to between a 306 and another Clio tbh.... just settled for a petrol version now as opposed to waiting another 3-6 months to find a diesel

3 Clio's would have been a bit much ;) And between us we've owned 11 Clio's - time for a change!

It makes sense that if you each have a mint car that a 3rd workhorse motor makes sense!!!

Thats why I got that Clio RT, 5 door so perfect for moving stuff around for out new house.

That Pug looks mint too though, they are well comfy as well. :D :D

Shes being treated like a princess at the moment! in and out of places getting everything checked and making sure shes in tip top condition hehe

Who do you guys have breakdown cover with? its not something ive had to look into before and personally i think its a bit expensive!! £100 for the 2 of us with the AA (i think)

Best we've seen is Greenflag which is £68 for the both of us
