Been to look at one of these today at my local Nissan dealer. Very impressed!
Booked a 2 hour test drive this Saturday.
54 plate with GT pack fitted, £19000.
I know its older than the Meg but do you think its a good move?
I've always fancied one but never really thought I'd be able to afford one. The Meg is all paid for now so a small loan looks tempting!
What sort of price should I be looking at for the Meg trade in? (56 plate FF, 4500 miles). How much difference does the pre registered situation make?
Just keep thinking, will I regret it!
Bruce.

Funnily enough this is exactly what I'm doing on Satuday too :D I'm not really looking to change yet but I need to drive the 350z and s2000 just to satisfy my curiosity. Will deffo be looking to be just running one car later on this year. 350z seems like a good choice for me as it can be used every day and we wont need 4 seats for the time bieng at least anyway

id get an evo, maybe 6 or 7, then ya should save a bitta money on the cost and then ya can keep the rest

you will save some money in the first instance buying an evo, but think if the running costs... they are very highly strung as a car, and need regular regular servicing!!!

350z sounds good bruce, what colour is it mate? don't forget i will want to test drive it if you get it!! and in return i will let you drive my diesel punto... :) how kind am i? VERY!!!

Got no choice! Its the wifes favorite. Its took me just over a week to justify getting rid of the meg, so I'm not about to argue! Seriously though, I do kinda like it.

My other half is a bit ****ed at the moment because I've just got the meg and she wants a new car. We'll be looking at the 350Z and Honda S2000 in a month or so's time.

Keep us posted on what you think.

Apparently any 350 registered before March 2006 still comes under band F (the same as the 225). All 350's registered after then are band G, which I think is the one that doubles in cost!

Jon Seal
24-03-2007, 10:15:57
nah, chipped meg will hand a 350 its arse on a rolling start, they are heavy buggers (1600kgs) but 0-60 is 5.7 seconds (same as my vx) the noise they make is ace too :D cant wait to have a blat off into town at 11.00. Just hope the salesman will shut up for long enough for me to concentrate on the car!

BruTamUK

Just got back from Nissan. What can I say.Power is a lot smoother than the meg, the noise is unreal! Managed to get a good deal on the meg, so hopefully this time next week I'll have a 350z.
I'll be sad to see the meg go, I didn't really expect to get rid of it this soon, but the offer on the 350z was just to good to turn down.
Bruce.

I'll probably be after some interior LED's once I've got it. Don't think there the same ones as the meg's though.

I find they respond better from being stroked rather than spanked ;)
