: 350z
BruTamUK 21-03-2007, 22:56:07 Been to look at one of these today at my local Nissan dealer. Very impressed!
Booked a 2 hour test drive this Saturday.
54 plate with GT pack fitted, £19000.
I know its older than the Meg but do you think its a good move?
I've always fancied one but never really thought I'd be able to afford one. The Meg is all paid for now so a small loan looks tempting!
What sort of price should I be looking at for the Meg trade in? (56 plate FF, 4500 miles). How much difference does the pre registered situation make?
Just keep thinking, will I regret it!
Bruce.
Jon Seal 21-03-2007, 23:03:37 Funnily enough this is exactly what I'm doing on Satuday too :D I'm not really looking to change yet but I need to drive the 350z and s2000 just to satisfy my curiosity. Will deffo be looking to be just running one car later on this year. 350z seems like a good choice for me as it can be used every day and we wont need 4 seats for the time bieng at least anyway
Micky 22-03-2007, 00:48:33 id get an evo, maybe 6 or 7, then ya should save a bitta money on the cost and then ya can keep the rest
minnnt 22-03-2007, 07:59:58 you will save some money in the first instance buying an evo, but think if the running costs... they are very highly strung as a car, and need regular regular servicing!!!
350z sounds good bruce, what colour is it mate? don't forget i will want to test drive it if you get it!! and in return i will let you drive my diesel punto... :) how kind am i? VERY!!!
BruTamUK 22-03-2007, 08:22:25 Sunset Orange with the GT kit fitted. Looks exactly the same as this one.....

minnnt 22-03-2007, 08:28:26 you poser!!!! would you go for that colour?
BruTamUK 22-03-2007, 08:40:20 Got no choice! Its the wifes favorite. Its took me just over a week to justify getting rid of the meg, so I'm not about to argue! Seriously though, I do kinda like it.
notthequeen 22-03-2007, 08:46:00 My other half is a bit ****ed at the moment because I've just got the meg and she wants a new car. We'll be looking at the 350Z and Honda S2000 in a month or so's time.
Keep us posted on what you think.

FunkyMunky 22-03-2007, 12:15:05 But there lovely!

Bubbles 22-03-2007, 12:15:50 Agreed... something for you to put the top down on and feel the wind in your hair ;)
Danny 22-03-2007, 12:23:03 think id have an exige just for the simpleness and madness of it :)
Bubbles 22-03-2007, 12:30:50 From what ive heard though.. the 350 is just a load of plastic inside? not very nice build quality
FunkyMunky 22-03-2007, 12:31:16 i've been staring at these for the last 5 minutes.... yum

FunkyMunky 22-03-2007, 12:45:06 black is very stealth..... :D

shinyautos.com 22-03-2007, 12:47:26 Gareth, let your driving get the attention lol! :D
I find with the black meg, if its dirty no 1 looks, when it's clean it get noticed like mad!
Also i just put the new plate on yesterday, feels like i'm in a fish tank at the minute!
Danny 22-03-2007, 12:48:11 dont think id own one ever though:(
getting in and out of a lambo was hard work!
i used to push the lotus around cos i couldnt get in them lol
minnnt 22-03-2007, 13:15:17 to be fair mate its probably easer to push them anyway... or just pick them up with both hands :D lol.
scruffty 22-03-2007, 20:09:14 bloke at my work has one - apparently the same gear box as the 225? I like 'em a lot...however, whats the tax situation now like?!
BruTamUK 22-03-2007, 20:25:08 bloke at my work has one - apparently the same gear box as the 225? I like 'em a lot...however, whats the tax situation now like?!
Apparently any 350 registered before March 2006 still comes under band F (the same as the 225). All 350's registered after then are band G, which I think is the one that doubles in cost!

eeeek.... had no idea the 350 was on a par with the Chelsea tractors
scruffty 23-03-2007, 20:04:20 yeah its a 3.5 litre beastie!!!!!!
minnnt 24-03-2007, 09:51:39 but not that much quicker if at all than the meggy is it? rear wheel drive though! :D
Jon Seal 24-03-2007, 10:15:57 nah, chipped meg will hand a 350 its arse on a rolling start, they are heavy buggers (1600kgs) but 0-60 is 5.7 seconds (same as my vx) the noise they make is ace too :D cant wait to have a blat off into town at 11.00. Just hope the salesman will shut up for long enough for me to concentrate on the car!
BruTamUK 24-03-2007, 14:59:06 Just got back from Nissan. What can I say.Power is a lot smoother than the meg, the noise is unreal! Managed to get a good deal on the meg, so hopefully this time next week I'll have a 350z.
I'll be sad to see the meg go, I didn't really expect to get rid of it this soon, but the offer on the 350z was just to good to turn down.
Bruce.
minnnt 24-03-2007, 15:34:41 fooking hell!!!!!!
Jon Seal 24-03-2007, 16:56:19 I've done a review in this thread

I'll probably be after some interior LED's once I've got it. Don't think there the same ones as the meg's though.
Bruce.
shinyautos.com 26-03-2007, 09:49:16 No probs mate just give me a bizz with the bulb types and we'll sort a kit out!
Bubbles 26-03-2007, 11:54:48  i spanked a 350z a while ago but it was pretty close at times!
I find they respond better from being stroked rather than spanked ;)
