Hi , i've a 2003 1.9dci 120 and today the check injection warning light has been on , the car runs fine even with this warning , anybody any ideas why this warning has come up but the car still runs ok , i've read in another forum about heater coils possibly being the problem , but i cant find any reference to heater coils in the haynes book....unless they mean glow plugs , but i thought they were just for initial starting , any suggestions would be appreciated.

heater coils and glow plugs are the same difference. lol could be one of tow things, the ECU has logged a fault for more than a given time, so it thinks one/some of your injectors are buggered. the second is that your glow plugs *might* be stuck on, or not functioning. i'd say its more likely the injector issue though. get it down to your local renault specialist ASAP.

I wouldnt go to the delaers strait away i can make mine do this is when you go reasonbly fast but dont use any fuel, it sort of tricks the car, if you touch the accelorator when this is on it should clear it strait away, if it doesnt then get to the stealer.

probably 1 or more of your heater plugs will have a high resistance causing the check injection light to come on if its still got warenty get it in to a dealer otherwise check the resistance of the plugs and replace the 1 with high resistance

just a quick update , one of the glow plugs , number 3 was not working , would have took me 30 mins to change the four but i dropped me plug socket into the engine bay so i had to take the under tray off to get it out (bu**a) still its up and sorted now...thanks for the advice and suggestions.
