Hi all,

I did the deed today. 197 has arrived and the meg has a new home at Renault London West. I have been so back and forth on this it almost drove me mad, thought I had made my choice a month ago to keep the meg but the 197 was in reality still nagging away and eventually won me over.
Have to say that I do not regret it one bit. The 197 looks amazing in the flesh, pics never seem to do it justice. Also IMO the recaros are better than the ones in my old F1. Will get some pics up soon.

Feel a bit of a traitor being a member of this site and getting a clio!! Hopefully I can still post without being shunned!

im sure you'll enjoy the 197 as much as the megane. such a good car, but im still in the opinion that you cant compare them to the older RS clios :)

Definately agree with you. It is totally different to my old 182.

No worries about having a Clio and being on here mate!!! This is one of the most open minded forums I've been on so you know thats not gonna be an issue.

If anything, I'm sure there's a few people on here, including me who are very intrigued by the new 197, having owned a 172 and 225 myself its always interesting to compare.

Hope you enjoy it mate, give us a review once you've given it some serious driving. :D :D

i really rate the 197,especially after they have done a few miles and loosened up! enjoy it revon,you wont be disappointed.cant wait for my r27 f1 to arrive.

Recaros in the 197 are awesome - well done mate.

were they a option or in the 197 as standard know the r27 has them as standard, when i asked about the cup version coming out was told wont be standard in that and the options have not been decided yet.

They have only really been an option on the 197 since November/December last year as far as I know. Am sure the 'cup' version will have them as an option to help with some weight saving.
