Sounds pretty good although not too lair which is ideal.
Also, my new front bumper arrived from E-bay. £70 ready primed so that'll go on to replace the front as its seen better days.

Jon Seal 11-04-2007, 20:27:45 cant beat em can you our saxo VTS is still going strong. Clutch bearing is a bit noisey but will get it done when it breaks lol
Alex_172 11-04-2007, 21:15:29 In a funny way its as much fun driving a little old banger compared to the Meg. Just a different kinda fun.
This one needs a joint replacing in the steering column but that won't cost the earth.
Just gotta get this front bumper sorted!! :D
minnnt 12-04-2007, 09:18:05 looking better and better Al!!! :D love it mate!
shinyautos.com 12-04-2007, 09:57:29 Well done matey! Looking smart!
Alex_172 12-04-2007, 10:52:42 Cheers guys, only thing thats a pain is that the bumper is primed in black not white.
Which I'd imagine will cost me more coz it might require two coats of paint.
minnnt 12-04-2007, 11:05:09 hmmm... worth it thoug i think??? how much would it be from reno?
Alex_172 12-04-2007, 11:06:57 God knows mate, probably more than the bleeding cars worth haha.
But bearing in mind that two black plastic strips that went round the roof lining on the the Renault 5 were nearly £50 from Renault, a whole bumper would be a lot more pricey.
minnnt 12-04-2007, 11:22:05 thats my point Al... it will be cheaper to get that one painted. how much would it be to prime it white or grey and then paint it white? or is that jut silly?
Alex_172 12-04-2007, 13:36:19 I'm not really sure. The place said that it'd be £100 to spray it in white provided its ready primed.
So I might try and pull a fast one and see if they'll do it for that price. Depends what they reckon really.
Annoyingly the add on e-bay showed it primed in white.

really? i would contact the seller and say wtf is going off????
as for the painting issue, yeah i would try it as long as they didn't say it would have to be primed white/grey then they cant really say no! :)
Alex_172 12-04-2007, 16:03:49 Yeah I was a bit narked but it doesn't actually state what colour it would be primed in on the ad, so it is actually primed.
It does state on the bumper that its guaranteed to be primed so the paint will adhere 100%, but guess it depends on how thick the paint is.
Although I don't know how much they'd charge to prime it first if they needed too!
RS-Tuning 12-04-2007, 19:36:51 You would be surprised how much a bumper is from renault! As i remember the 16v ones are about 100 quid!
FunkyMunky 13-04-2007, 10:50:11 In a funny way its as much fun driving a little old banger compared to the Meg. Just a different kinda fun.
a different kind of fun because you just drive it without the extra worry... not so much taking extra risks but you aren't constantly concerned about where you park it etc
i'd still be mighty ****ed if something happened to the Pug, but then it's easily repairable/replaceable which isnt quite the case for either the Trophy or the Liquid
Alex_172 13-04-2007, 10:59:58 Spot on mate, you don't worry too much when driving it, parking it etc.
I'd be p!ssed if someone damaged it but rather the Clio than my Meg. :D
