have to say I was happy with the service..just placed my order with them on fri with an expected delivery time towards the end of july, possibly first week of august (wondering if I should've waited for the '57 plates but what the hell).

Just missed out on a cancelled order so I could've had one earlier...doh!

May be a long trip to pick up the car as I think they mentioned a Leeds depot/dealership... rather that than letting a delivery chap possibly rag it for 300 odd miles.

what did you order?

went with the black R26, xenons and spare... seemed one of the best deals out there on the net (apart from BMNC) and I've checked lots, buyacar was close with the initial savings but Nationwide was still about £700-£800 cheaper with all the options....... I found NAtionwide through a recommendation on this site so a big shout out to the bloke that posted it...whatever his name was.

don't we all..8-10 week wait though and I don't see that changing unless you get lucky with a cancelled order and I can imagine them to be very rare, especially if you want it in your own options/colour etc....

BMNC is http://www.buymynewcar.com

I used them, no issues. If I were ordering again though, I'd go to a dealer and get a discount, then 0%. Total including brokers interest is about the same, but you get 1st owner on the log book.

I would've preferred to use a dealer but noone locally would even budge on the list (salisbury). Others further-a-field gave a discount but would'nt budge on the APR rate. I have heard of some dealers giving fantastic deals though...

Could be a plan to get dozens of dealers contact details, take time out to phone round and grab a saving...its the end of the month so some sales people may need to reach those sales figures....you pays your money.

So how much did it actually cost from nationwide-car in the end for the black, xenon, spare??

found on the website how to add the options and its £1000 more expensive on their website than i paid for mine from a dealer.

Don't know on that spec. Mine is a standard cup. Metallic and delivery it was 14211.

You'll get some discount with 0% but not loads, think I got about £1200 off with the 0% and a reasonable offer on the part ex. You also need a big deposit, around 20-30% I think.

I got a LY, Xenons and a spare for 15,666.51 you will not get 0% if they are doing a deal! My finance was at 4.2% flat.

Yes - you just need to consider - if you go to a dealer, you might not get as good a discount on the price of the car - but 0% = NO INTEREST! Add the flat 4.2% (In my case 3.9% flat) interest on top of the broker price.. The difference is not so much..

Also, IMO, if you've not got 20-30% deposit, you should not be buying one. A classic example of this countrys issues with irresponsible lending and waiting to pay tomorrow....

It worked out i was paying less than the 0% deal with my finance deal and discount! Think its around £18000 i will be paying back rather than the £21000 if it was on 0%.

Thats a bit shirty IMO-Some people don't always have the cash to hand but want a car now!. Not everyone is blessed with 'x' amount of deposit available, yet like me they are able to satisfy pre determined monthly amounts.
For you to say 'people' shouldn't be buying cars unless they have a CORRECT deposit, overlooks OTHER peoples circumstances!

Who are you to judge?
