Default Since when did the 200 become so cheap?

Was just looking round for some info on the new megs, prices, finance etc andt found brand new cup 200's on a dealers site - 13,618 cash price or 14,597 over 2 years. Works out at about 4.9% APR. Have they always been this cheap? Just been looking online and S/H ones seem to be demanding higher prices than brand new?

      Confused,
      MJ.

before the price rises etc I got quotes of 12k for a Clio 200 Cup...which like you say is cheaper than second hand.
I'm still kicking myself after being offered a LY R27 brand new for 13k 30 odd months ago...they still fetch about 11-12 now!!! The Clio's seem to have a better residual than the Meg...

Just seemed cheap to me considering there's one on ebay for 17 grand with 11 miles OTC. There's neumerous others ranging from 13, 14, 15k etc. Because of used prices I always assumed they were 16-17k new. If that's the advertised cash price I bet they would go lower aswell If I went In to the show room for a look around and mentioned I'd be paying cash. I went down to see If my local Renault stealer had a R26 In. They didn't but said they would knock a grand or 2 off the list price for me on the new model and I didn't even have to ask for that!

Least you had a good peice for It. Not looseing anything, Impressive

Is that how much they go for new then? Must say, I'm tempted to go have a look at one at that price. Was origionally looking for a R26 so planned tp spend about 11.5k max but I see the 200 cup won the top gear hot hatch test. I havn't had chance to look at the mag In work yet but was supprised It won as It was up against some nice motors costing much, much more! How do they compare to the R26? What's the mid range power like on the 200? Being NA I guess any mods will be expensive for very little gains? Certanly got me thinking again.
