Default Recaro seats for Megane 250

I have a renault clio 200 mk3 which has recaro bucket seats. I am about to trade it in for the Megane 250 mk3. The megane doesnt have recaros but Arnold Clark were going to swap the seats over but they have told me that the seats fit but the connection from the seat to the airbags doesnt match so cannot fit them safely and I dont want to buy a new seat. Does anyone know if there is some sort of way to get the connection fitted to the megane? as I dont want to buy the car if I cannot have the recaros
      Thanks

Would be my suggestion too. Fiddling with airbag wiring is looking for trouble. And besides, the seats in the Megane go way lower than those in the Clio...

Need different looms. Loads of people have changed from normal seats in the clios too the recaros. If they physically fit then they can be wired in. Just needs someone with a little bit of auto lec knowledge to get involved at Arnold Clark and sort it out for you!

Sorry to bump this, i did a google search on this and got directed here.

Does anyone know if they do bolt-in between models? Are the Clio's Recaro seats on a different mounting to the Megane 250's or is it a straight swap? Has anyone even tried? I know the wiring will be different im not bothered about that as thats easily sorted.

Theres so little information on this subject its hard to know!

Pretty sure they would have different subframes as the floor pans of Megane and Clio differ.

Subframes are different. Both are recaro cs seats I believe but I don't think it would work out cheaper trying to do it this way. Best looking in breaker yards for a megane 250 with recaros!

Thanks for the replies guys. So the dealership in the OP were talking out their arse saying they fitted then?

@Cannit i was hoping it would be cheaper and easier to source a pair of 197/200 Recaros as there are way more of those cars around. Megane's are rare enough as it is, Recaro spec'd ones even more so.
