Default ABS Sensor on the front

Anyone fitted one and is it a job that can be done on the drive at home ?

Yes and yes. Important that you don't take your wheel too far away from the car otherwise your tyre pressure sensor pickup may go crazy...

Took me about half hour to fit.

      1. jack car up
      2. Remove wheel
      3. Remove plastic wheel arch lining to get to cable - it is clipped in every few inches
      4. Using a flat screwdriver CAREFULLY prize the pickup (nearest the driveshaft) from it's metal clip - don't bend the clip otherwise you'll never secure the new one back in!
      5. unclip the cable all the way to where it connects to an extension cable (almost immediately above the suspension) - can be a pain to remove and has a clip you have to lift up whilst trying to pull the connector out from the extension lead - MAKE A NOTE (PICTURE) OF WHERE THE CABLE GOES FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AS IT GOES AROUND THE WISHBONES!
      6. Connect new cable into extension lead
      7. Clip the cable back into the securing holes (I believe the new cable will have some spaced out clips?)
      8. Make sure you route the cable exactly as the original one was
      9. push the pickup sensor into the metal clip by the driveshaft
      10. Replace the plastic lining of the wheel arch
      11. Put wheel back on.
      12. Test.

Easily a home job, 5 minutes tops.

      a) Its and R26 so most likely no pressure sensors.
      b) The range on the sensors its surprisingly large and it doesn't matter if it looses one for a bit it'll come back when driving.

Be careful of the orientation of both end of the new sensor cable - when you unplug the broken one you'll see which way it went in - most important part as if you push it in the wrong way you'll break the sensor. Good luck!
