Sainsburys Insurance - Bargain!
Just thought I would share this with you guys, as a lot of us seem to be a similar age, NCB etc but I've had an amazing quote (for me) on the R26 with Sainsburys -
23 years old
3 years NCB
12 month policy coming in at £670 including -
- Windscreen cover
- 90 Day European cover
- Legal Cover
- Green Flag Breakdown cover
I have been with Admiral for 3 years now and they have been amazing with always coming up with the best quote, but this years renewal was £1094 and the best they could do was £1000...
I asked them to match Sainsburys quote which was £370 cheaper and included more as standard and they could not get closer than £1000. Shame, as they don't seem to reward loyalty and are so far off.
Insurance industry is so confusing! But a good end to the story, especially for my wallet
Insurers don't do loyalty, but you've found that out already - I think the hope is to get you on the books, then hope you don't notice the yearly increase or shop around. I'd say I've had a new insurer every year for car and house insurance for at least 8 years or more.....
I think you're right, it does seem a shame though because I feel that if they priced it honestly in the first place and rewarded loyalty they would have more customers. Admirals customer service has been excellent for 3 years but I don't enjoy it enough to give them £370 over the odds!
Im with them to mate...got my policy about 3 weeks ago now.
£104 deposit and im £46 a month!
3 years ncb
mother on as named driver
i have private use of a van
7k miles a year
I was over the moon when i got my quote..was £39 cheaper a month from my previous insurer (elephant) who i had been with for 2 1/2 years and they couldnt do me any deals!
how many nector points did you receive? lol
lol I used my Mums card (I don't own one) and saved an extra £4, although I think thats because it isn't used very often, I'm not sure how the Nectar system works?

I live in a small village with a population of around 2k and about 15miles from the nearest city and im in the highlands so thats probably the main difference.
Yeah i used to get quotes all similar through that companies but sainsburys have my vote now if any of my mates need car insurance!
Maybe they just have good taste in cars and love looking after Liquid yellow f1's ha
Haha yes! It's all about the Liquid Yellow F1's!
