Bike carrier for the RS265
Any keen bikers out there with an answer to my problem?
I have drawn a blank with any type of carrier, you cant fit a roof rack and the shape of the boot and spoiler seem to rule out rear mounted carriers
Im not keen on fitting a towbar electric socket so it has to be a high level carrier to clear the lights and plate
I have an alternative (wifes car) but I could really do with a solution to this, help please?

You couldnt fit a tow bar anyway, central exit exhaust
I bought a cheap vw caddy, great for bikes and the dog.
Just bought this:
I am sorry that doesn;t help your situation but I too haven't been out cycling since I bought the Megane. I really dont want to be putting my bike in the back of it so the van is ideal.
Don't do it, just use the wife's car, she'll understand......
This is the one area where the Megane is a let down.
You can't (safely) attach a roof rack, and the rear doesn't lend itself to bike racks or towing. I thought the whole point of a hot hatch is that it's practical as well as fast?
I don't understand why Renault didn't get approval for roof racks. It simply doesn't make sense.
Thanks for all the tips!
I had a £600 VW Transporter van a few years ago and I loved it, brilliant for bikes and all round useful, luckily I live in rural Hampshire and can ride MTB from the doorstep
The only snag with using the wife's car is the possibility that she might drive the Megane....you should see the kerbed alloys on her car...so i dont think so
All this inconvenience hardly matters as the Megane is just brilliant, 5 months with it and no regrets at all
Bikes are for riding
Not for taking out for a drive in the car
I don't have a problem getting my road bike in the back with the front wheel and seat post off.
I haven't tried the MTB yet but don't think it will be a problem, although I don't fancy getting the Meg muddy!
