A 265 with double clutch gearbox - now tell me that wouldn't get people talking??
I'm sure it would! I expect the next R.S. version of the Megane will have the dual clutch as the only option - though I don't see it happening with the Megane III since I assume the EDC is for the Nissan engined cars only.

How do I feel about that? I'm not sure. Shifting has always been part of driving for me. I've never driven an auto or a paddleshifter, and I don't think a test drive will really tell me enough about it. It'll be strange not having to heel and toe though - something I've been doing for a long time! I'll still have the Caterham and it's manual box to play around with, but I'm not sure if I'd miss it on my main car. Time will tell!

Just some info, I've seen some pricing for the new Fiesta ST.

£1500 difference between the ST 1 and ST 2 , prices starting at £16945 for ST1 prices starting at £18445 for ST 2

Usually the Clio tends to be slightly more expensive, but I'd be expecting the figures to be around the ST 2 level.

Cheers for that framerateuk, thought it may be around the £18k mark

*Obviously aware that turbo’d four-pot engines don’t sound that great, Renaultsport claims that the exhaust note 'has been the object of particular attention'. And there’s an R-Sound Effect kit that plays a number of different engine noises (matched to the revs and speed) through the car’s speakers*

That's from a review from CAR. Surely this isn't going to happen, right?

A Renault sales guy said the sound effects thing is just an app on their new radio system. And you can switch it off.

Is it right that the new Clio is 200 kilo lighter than a 197, that's what it says in the new French car mag

Well... from what I remember, it was rumored to be lighter, but the Renault spokesperson said it was slightly heavier than a 200! This could be from a poor french to english translation though. I'd be surprised if it was heavier.
