It's coming up to the time to sort out my .R and, I'd like to consolidate our three policies into one.

Tried a quote with me (23, 4 years NCB) and my missus (25, 5 years NCB) for:

2009 1.5dci Megane 3 - 15000 miles
2009 Megane R26.R - 5000 miles
2001 1.5dci Clio 2 - 10000 miles

all shared usage, my NCB on .R hers on her Megane, Stored on drive @ DE5, and we got a very good price of £950 with Admiral.

However, I had a quick look at their reviews....Very poor customer service :-(

Which other companies specialise in multi car policies? Who would you recommend?

I was with elephant for a few years which is the same company and I'm in the same boat as Matty..never had any problems with communication etc..I went through a stage of changing my car about 4 times in 5months and they were brilliant when it came to that. No charges, swapped over within 5-10mins on the phone and new documents within 3 days of the change overs.

I was PM'd by a member on here that they don't insure caged cars........after doing an online quote (and declaring exhaust, cage, climate, folding mirrors) I rang up, spoke to a nice lady, and they're fine with it.

It's gone up slightly, to £1100, but oh well.

A little bit of inside knowledge helps
I know a few people working in the company

If your going to heavily mod your car don't go with them
Admiral/elephand/diamond/bell etc will not insure your car if you have more than 6 modifications
And will only cover power increases upto 25%morr power

However they are good service and the cheapest around for young drivers

Reasonable price for my area with 12000 miles, including business mileage, exhaust and some small things and 5yrs NBC (24) £800

If its the factory ti exhaust not sure if you need to declare it unless it was an "optional extra"

I was thinking about getting it mapped but it's too expensive :(

They wanted to charge me an extra £80 to change air filter, tint windows and lower it by 25mm so haven't done them

I had a non fault accident whilst insured with Admiral and they were probably the most helpful company I have ever been in touch with.
The ONLY issue I have with them is the "Under 25's compulsory excess" which wasn't detailed on my policy and I was only made aware when renewing and at £500 that would've almost killed me.
Too expensive for me now anyway, back to Direct Line at almost half the price!

I've been with Admiral for so long now. I've never had anyone beat them on price - especially since moving to multi car 2 years ago.

With regards to customer service i haven't had any issues (touch wood) but i haven't needed to use it that much in fairness.
