      Lucky buggers living so close!. The easiest way for me is the crossing from Newcastle to Amsterdam then travel down..the crossing itself for 2 people + 1 car is around £450 return + fuel +accommodation + spending money = expensive for me! Make sure you all get some good photos!

      I find going to Dover from Carlisle then down to the Ring is about the same time but a lot cheaper, ferry is about £20 or less each way, and we set off about 6pm to miss the traffic, midnight ferry, down to the ring for the next morning. Nap and lap. Glad I'm not closer, it would cost me a fortune.

      Don't think you can get insurance from anywhere for the ring chriss

      Went searching and found this statement..don't know how much truth is in it though

      As long as your usual UK insurer does not specifically exclude derestricted toll roads in uk or eu if eu cover is chosen.
