Default Bye Bye French... Hello German!

Well, after 6 years in a Renault, starting with my 225 and then the 250, I am leaving the marque and moving to German 'premium'! Barring any major hiccups, I pick up my new car next Friday - a 2007 plate Misano Red Audi RS4 saloon. 64k on the clock, 1 previous owner, a stack of receipts and invoices and the dreaded DRC suspension problem already sorted.

The dealership offered me a good deal on the Megane (even with the bloody great key mark down the drivers side that I've not got around to having resprayed yet) and it all fell to within my budget, so this afternoon I have paid the deposit etc!

Still trying to justify it to myself (when I chopped in the 225 for the 250 my justification was newer car / warranty etc, can't really say that this time around!), but I'm sure the V8 howl will justify it for me!!

I will no doubt stick around and drop in occasionally!

Lemon - got £14,500 for it, which for dealer trade in (with a bloody great key mark down one side) isn't too bad I don't think. The lowest I was offered elsewhere was £12,000!

I appreciate it's not everyones cup of tea, but it's a scratch I have had an urge to itch for a while.....

The missus wanted me to get an Avant as she is fed up of using the Freelander to transport the dogs in. My car, my money, my choice (although I think sex is off the menu for a while now!!).

The Avants are harder to come by and seem to hold their value slightly better (to be fair, saloons with 100k+ on the clock are still going for £17k - £18k, so they are all holding the values well).
