      Default Alloy wheel help!

      Hi everyone

Been searching for days and can't seem to get an answer

I have two cracked alloys which I'm still running on and having to put air in every two days so I need a new set of alloys very quickly but my budget is 500-600 so looking at aftermarket alloys Trouble is the offset! The 225 2004 offset is ET45 but when I put my car details into alloy sites it's giving alloys with different offsets, seen some I like but offset is ET40 will they be ok? Or is that just a no no, I have a black 4 dr and would like some matt black or gloss black alloys it's just this offset that's getting on my tits!

Not 100% on 225 alloys .. These are 7.5" wide if I remember correctly

But on the R26 wheels which are 8" wide the offset is ET68

      R wheels are ET64

ET55 wheels will fit but I wouldn't go for anything lower as they will most likely stick out too far 👍

Hi john thanks for the reply, so as my standard offset is 45 et40 will be ok as they will only stick out an extra 5mm, didn't really think about width of the alloy, but I guess 8" would be ok and not cause any clearance issues and can still use my tyres.

This is one set I'm looking at http://m.wheelbasealloys.com/Product/view/id:8396

Also looking at these it say the offset is ET35-45

Hi josh thanks for your offer which is a really good offer!! but seeming as I'm having to buy new alloys I got my heart set on matt black and cheapest colour change round here is 45 per wheel plus I want to set myself apart from the two megs that have just popped up by me both with them rims

Trust me mate, if you have the bog standard 225 wheels, the offset is 100% NOT et45. I've just removed a set to fit some R26 alloys

I will have a look to see if it's stamped inside the wheels tomorrow if I remember.

Useless for the 225 most of these sites. The Megane has an unusually high offset, that's why it's difficult to find aftermarket wheels for them.
