Man alive people.

I dropped my bait into the water and boy did you lot bite at it.
Fishing is fun with you lot. (over 5 pages truly is pathetic and some of the comments have been written by obviously well learned folk).

Well I got £11k trade in and sold the plate, wheels, suspension and exhaust for £2k, which get's me my £13k. I'm happy with that.

The morons I speak of are those who will drive at speeds of inexcess of 100mph then think it big and clever to come on here and boast about it, take photo's of it and big each other up about it.
People die because of your kind.

I didn't think that I would catch as many out as I did, but keep up the good work and keep this pathetic thread going to 10 pages.

Forum's are for expressing opinion. If you take offense that I think you paid over the odds for your car, then you should either a) not go on a forum where an opinion might be given, or b) not pay over the odds for your car.

If I think people are morons for driving at such speeds and thinking it big and clever that's my opinion. I'm not the only one who thinks that, just the only one who says it. No matter what time of day or what road it is on it is dangerous. You could kill people and can't guarantee that it will not happen, unless in controlled circumstances.

If me stating that kind of thing and that I think the maximum to pay for a Megane is £16k in order to get anywhere near value for money makes me a tit, then hey I'm a tit.

My post was aimed to ruffle some feathers. It worked. The only people that come out of this with any dignity are the people who didn't comment.

Sorry Craig225 i have nothing personal against you and i dont really no you. But why o why hijack threads on this forum and the renaultsport forum and potentially reduce someones chances of selling their car.
At the end of the day the car will change hands for what a person is prepared to pay. I think the comments you made re peoples cars and their values was totally out of order and if your right about the value or not the nature our thoughts or comments should have been kept to yourself.
Secondly your comments on speeding right or not leaves me questioning your purchase of a performance car in the first place. You appear to claim with your attitudes to speeding that you never speed, whether it be 40mph in a 30mph limit or 60mph in a 40mph limit or indeed 100mph in a 70mph. You have modified your car in several ways ie performance exhaust , lighter wheels etc yet you appear to be the representative against speeding generally. Its like saying ive got a loaded machine gun and i am a member of a gun club but i would never shoot it.
Sorry but this just does not add up and you have contradicted yourself to many times for your argument to be of any substance.
Perhaps you have had a change of heart and you are selling your 225 to avoid the chances of speeding , who knows .
I would be intrested to hear what you next car is going to be.
I have read the threads on this post and resisted puting my observations across.
But sorry i can only listen / read so much bullshit before i have to respond.
Anyway good luck with whatever you decde to do but please dont bullshit any more.

Wow...and I questioned other users for going ott on comments to this guy? Well I sure recind that. Why would someone want to intentionally wind up/piss people off? Don't we get enough agro at work, the motorway, tescos etc... that there's no place for it in like minded forums. Having a laugh, piss taking and differing p.o.v's sure, but if someone wants to be aggresively adervsarial there must be any number of debating (note I didn't inlcude 'mass' :lol: ) forums for getting into fights. It never ceases to amaze me how 'opinionated' (to be polite) people are online. Oh well, hopefully that he isn't coming back is about the best thing that can be said.

Side note: this views as one consecutive non-breaking line on my pc. Is this just my IE acting up? Looks fine in preview.
