I paid about £800 for all the belts/tensioner/water pump etc and a full service at Mark Fish in Harlow. I've never taken it anywhere else since I bought it 4 years ago. Top bloke is Mark and will do anything to advise/help you out.
Wow, Ive read good and bad reports on here about him, I've got to be honest £800 sounds quite dear in comparison to what I paid - £669 for the same.
But if he gives yous excellent service and you trust him then fair play

I had a Ph 1 172 before the Meg and always took that to him too so all in all been going to him for about 10 years and never had a problem. One of the things I like is he hasn't got a problem with you standing there in his workshop while he works on your car. He's not much cheaper than a main dealer but I trust him 100%.

Got a quote in in a main dealer for just shy of £1400, that was with MOT also but Jeeeez. Called TDF in Kimbolton - a bit further to drive but well under half that, this is with timing belt, aux belt, pulleys, pumps, water pump, oil change etc and MOT.

I ended up going with my local dealer as I didn't really have the time to go elsewhere (need a specialist in north hampshire please!). However, the cam belt/service & mot was the last of my concerns. discs & pads all round isn't cheap i found out! ouch!

I'm seeing some very cheap prices on here compared to what my local dealership wanted.

I was quoted £1,500 by Renault Croydon for the water pump and cambelt. Ended up having it replaced by another Renault dealership at a discounted rate and that that was still £900 including a service.
