Got the car back from the dealers today and all checks out on clip ok + they cleared the adaptive values.

I still cant rev over 6000 rpm properly when i should be able to hit 7200rpm. This is in addition to poor accelleration.

Do you guys think tightening the actuator arm would have caused this problem. I dont think its the exhaust's issue as it was happening before i had it done.

Injector has been swapped - Problem not solved
Adaptive values reset - Problem not solved
Coils have moved position - Problem not solved


Any ideas?

Hi Alex just wondered if you got this problem sorted out, i realise this is probably quite an old topic going on the date that you posted it, but the reason why i was asking is that my 6 month old 225 cup will only rev to 7000 rpm in 1st + 2nd gears, + only 6500 rpm in 3rd, 4th, + 5th, don't know about 6th cos i can't keep it buried for long enough on a descent straight road, probably nothing wrong, but just wondered why in certain gears it revs to 7000 + other gears it revs to 6500. cheers Si.

as far as i know all 225 rev like this mine dose hope that helps

Si,

The problem i had was due to valve timing which meant that i couldnt get over 6k rpm. Took a dealer with some common sense to figure it out though. Much better now and revs like it should do.
