then im 99% sure you will be in the same boat as me then matey, think all 55s are E4 engines.
G
how about a 05 plate then, but the car are already here before the 1st of march, i just wait until the 05 plate start then collect the car, so m i in between then??
Depends on how long the 225 had been sitting around for after production.

Andy is there any physical way to find out.
check on your service inicator i think if it is counting down from 18000 then its and euro 3 where if it is counting down from 12000 its a euro 4

Richard
my service counter was 18k but other full fat phase 1 225s counted from 12k so i dont think the mileage indicator is a 100% way of identifying your engine type (also it can be changed by dealers on the CLIP before its delivered!)

Andy did you fit one of those apexi boost controllers? has that sorted out the boost for you?
G
So is it right on ours Jon should it be 18000 cause i was concerned it was because ours are imports and really it should be 12000..
Renault really messed up with the service intervals on the meggy, to be honest i would NEVER leave a high performance engine to run 18k on the same oil, mine usually all get done at 6k as for the sake of oil and a filter it's not worth the wait.

As for the Euro4 it's quite a tricky one, what we found with Andys is that to bring the ignition on full we needed to have the car out of gear then press and hold the start button. This will probably (but not 100%) be a good test as on the Euro3 ECU this does not bring the full ignition on....

Paul
yeah topper mine was 18k but had it serviced at 12 and got RS Tuning to reset the counter to 12 rather than 18 just to be on the safe side. The oild wasnt too bad but it was ready for changing at 12k for sure. As Paul says a 6k oil change wont do any harm thats what I'll be doing at 18k on mine

no mate, from wat i can gather its not worth fitting it till the remap is sorted then run the two together, not sure if paul has sorted anything yet for a E4 engine.

paul have you got any further on the E4 front.
Paul,

ive got a euro 3 engine and if i put the card in the card reader and hold down the start button it puts the car into full ignition.

Pissed on my bonfire!

What about in gear, foot on break then press start once. Leave it like that with full ignition and see if it turns back off after about 5 mins.

Andy, as for the euro4 i've not yet seen another to work on the boost. As soon as one comes in i'll get the map sorted.

so my counter is 18000, m i good for the remap then?

Most likely yes but..... The only way of knowing 100% would be to read the original.

Both shouldn't be a problem to map and the Euro4 would just require more time with the car to find the correct maps.

Paul
Hi paul where are you bassed.Iwas hoping to get my euro4 car mapped.Iam from huddersfeild. You could use my car to find the right map.how much will it cost? marc
