Car won't start . Was sitting having my breaky at maccy d's went to start car, as I put my foot on the brake everything cut out like there weren't enough power, pressed start, it tried, had a few clicks and gave up.

How can I tell which has given up?

Id say battery with it clicking mate, the cold weather will kill off a weak battery.

Cheers for the reply, got a new battery, guess I'll soon find out if the alternators gone, but like you say I think its the batt.

Did you start the car and drive it to McDs?

mines just beeped while driving and said "stop" and "low battery" and now wont start now iv turned it off it wont start. interior lights come off and the steering unlocks but thats it. Bit of clicking too. new battery time??

I'd say battery again mate- the cold will kill an otherwise ok but getting weak if that makes sense!
