when your driving along the mtorway for a bit reset the mpg and see wat happens :lol:

then watch how fast it decreases :lol:

About 60. I use to work in Newcastle and found that going slower didn't lose that much time, simply because I didn't have to fill up as much.

i just got 370 miles out of mine at 34.7mpg 80% all motorway tho at 70-80mph, well chuffed.

normallt get around 220-260 a tank

God no's what my mpg will be like when i get the 225, my punto today is reading 21.4mpg :roll:

I've seen 60.5mpg... for about half a second!!!! 30 mph in sixth with almost no throttle then reset the computer! Doesn't last long though... :lol:

Really? Why is that? I thought the lower the revs, the less the fuel consumption? :? Or am I being completely stupid?

if you drive at 40 mph and put cruise control on you can feel the jerking and pulling where there is just not enough speed for good mpg, its almost just riding along on the gears, if you put in 5th there is no jerking or pulling it just glides along, dont take this to the bank like, its only my thoughts, i often try these silly things out on the motor

I noticed that the other day when i was pissing about like Andy, the car was on and off the power and really jerky with cruise on in 6th doing under 50, better in 5th under 70 i reckon!

thats my point its trying to hard in 6th its just not got enough speed to stay in 6th its almost riding the gears in 6th, any way 40mph in 6th on cruise control is just wrong anway :lol: :lol:
