Picked her up Saturday morning and spent the afternoon driving it like it was supposed to be driven.

It is sublime!

More refined than the Clio, quieter inside, well made.

OK so maybe it is a little less chuckable than the clio was, not as raw etc. etc. but it's a lot more stable at speed and the LSD works wonders!
Recaro's FANTASTIC! really nice place to be inside overall to be honest.
Brembo's will rip your face off if you stamp on them lol.

'Mods' so far....

-New wipers
-£40 of petrol
-Silvervisions
-LED number plate bulbs

Plans to come:
-Health check from BTM
-Engine oil change with minor service (filters etc)
-Exhaust mount
-Gear box oil change
-Brake Fluid change

Future plans:
-Megane 250 steering wheel if thats possible
-Exhaust from BTM ;)
-Braided lines
-DS 2500 Pads
-Wheels refurbed
-Two new hankook V12's
-TPI polorized wheel nuts
-HID's maybe, I do miss how bright the clio's lights where in comparrison.
-Maybe some lowering springs
-Remap Stage 1

Coments on plans?

Anyway You all know what one looks like but here you go anyway after a quick buff up:

Very nice! As for the plans I'm not too keen on the tyres I got four v12s the last time from comments on here and they didn't fill me with confidence when taking corners at speed the side walls are softer and make the car feel like its rolling about more ...
That looks in great condition. What's the mileage? Liquid yellowis by far the best colour for the R26, very good choice sir!

I'd say first things first, get it running well, the services, brakes etc etc. then consider a remap and other mods.

In my 10 months of ownership, I've had to do my brakes all round (pads and discs) a full service (only on 20k at the time but felt I should do it anyway) 2 new tyres and the full Cambelt job. That's not including fuel, mot and tax... Sigh... Looks like my injectors are up next, then I'm hoping for a bit of plain sailing but I won't hold my breath.

Make sure you join up and get some more pictures up!

Hi mate, I got It for 9,700 in the end with the rear bumper resprayed and bits tidie and up, more than it's probly worth but it is in VVGC and low mileage so I'd rather have the best example than the worst.

Should of told her that you're never too old! I had to explain to my GF where my saving for the house depost went...

I was quite impressed with the Hankooks on my last car considering the price, they are after all £80 less a corner than Michi's/Conti's Any other Mid range suggestions? I'm not working full time yet so only want to spend upto £150 a corner.

Thanks it is in great condition, there are only 2 trolley dings and 3 stone chips all of which will be sorted shortly.... Even the plastic covers where on the Renault sport sills and the Recaro seat bases!

It's currently on 25k miles

It'll be going to see [email protected] to have all the fluids/filters changed and then the cambelt done after that.

£150 a corner? I paid about that for my conti 5p's via Camskill. Obviously you'll need them fitted but it works out alot cheaper than going to national and paying circa £230 a corner!!

Car looks lovey mate. Hope you have fun with it :)
Thanks, really? What size is that?
Just noticed they have Pilot sport 3's for £148 too, fitting is free as my mate works at Audi and has access to their workshop.
Even more reason to not pay ridiculous prices :)

PS2's are only 160 aswell.

Not usually a fan of stickers but they actually fill that 'void' quite nicely! Good effort!
Cheers, they help break up all the black IMO :)
Agreed about the Hankook tyre's when we bought her R26 it came with them on the front and they were rubbish car felt like it was rolling around on cornering hard, it had just had 2 new Toyo T1R on the rear so I decided to get 2 for the front and they perform much better

I have the Mich PS2 on my R26 and Toyo's on the other R26 but there's not much between them performance wise can't fault them considering how much cheaper they are than the michelin!

I also had vredstein ultrac sessanta' that are very good for the money, good in the wet and look great!
