I think with the faclift now out and the fact you can buy brand
new 225s for 14 or 15k on the net, this is bound to happen i'm afraid.
Thats a realistic price now imo.
might be an error that it says 12.5k in the window on the pic

Probably an import

I only got 10,300 for my 54 plate with 21k on the clock.
Its all down to prices people get their cars for in the first place!!

If you paid over £20k for a 225 then unfortunately you are gonna lose out big time. I paid just over £16k for mine, brand new.

No sure wether the facelift will affect the 225s that much as they are pretty rare anyway!!

paid 10.5k for my 05 reg. UK car, with 10k on clock.
Got offered a trde in for mine at £11500. 04 plate full fat 24k miles and FOUR owners!
Bet the new car price was well loaded, They offered me £13,500 for mine about a month ago, 04 20,000miles full fat with lux pack 1 owner.

The new one was coming up at £21,000 for a similar spec, I gave them Buymynewcar's prices and walked out.

i paid 12500 for mine 6 months ago which was an 04 with 25k on the clock which at the time was the cheapest i could find, just wish i'd have waited and bought a trophy
i know the arse has kinda fell out of the 225s accross the range but i love my motor and would not get rid of it for the world, even if it is worth 5k in 5 yrs time

here here :D
It had fallen out of favour with me a few months ago and i looked into chopping it in for a focus tdci but nobody would touch it cos of all the owners. I didnt know it had more than one previous owner til the log book arrived after the plate transfer was done. A the time I was'nt bothered cos I planned to keep it for a good few years but now i want something that corners properly.

Its going so watch this space  _____________________

Well said! Cars are a big old stinkin hellish money pit, no matter what you've got. We're all gonna lose...just to varying degrees :)
We're all lucky enough to be able to take a chunck of cash and buy these fun motors in the first place. We may aspire to 350zs, M3s, 911s and further up the scale, but there's alotta truely interested petrol heads out there making in a year what we might pull down in 6 or 4 months or less and even our moderately priced motors are far outta reach for them.
We should all follow Andy's spirit and spend less time monitoring the plummetting prices and incredibly poor customer service of Reno dealers and just keep driving the $hit outta them! :D
...right, time for some footy...
