Do all dealers understand Renault sport models?

Hello meganesport.net people!! I'm wondering if there are some dealerships better than others at looking after the 225's? I'm planning on having mine serviced at worcester renault. Anyone have any experience of this dealerships sevice department?

Cheers and hello

hell yeah, some look at it like its a bloody alien car and some are as sweet as a nut. luck of the draw matey
well hopefully someone will have taken the leap of faith before me. They tell me that they have worked on other renault sports. I am right in thinking that they differ quite a bit from the bog standard model. In parts and oils etc. What oil are these things best fed with?
they are nothing like the standard megs, trust me iv owned one, as for the oil im not to sure as not had either of mine dona yet.
id have to check my receipt from my service but whatever they use its fully synthetic.

Cost me £35 for the 4 litres when it came to my service......thats renault dealer prices.

I've got a mate who owns a garage, he specializes in Renaults.

(He's manage to make a Renault 25 do 0-60 in about 4 seconds and will hit 180mph.)

Anyway - he said that the RenaultSport is as far removed from the standard Meg as a standard is from a Focus RS. Totally different cars. Guess it's just luck of the draw whether your dealer knows anything about them!
Cheers Nick, we have the same motor! Where's your mates garage then? Had yours modified yet?

Just had mine serviced at Reg Vardy Renault, and although it says ELF in the back window of every Renault on the planet they filled it with Castrol magnatec 10/40
Same at mine, they always use shell oil I think. :?

ALL RenaultSport vehicles MUST be filled with 5W40.. Fully Synthetic..

Can't believe some dealers are still filling with 10W40 Semi Bulk oil..

Webcode, if they put the 10w40 stuff in, does it do any harm? Can we demand the 5w40 stuff?
I spoke to a friend in the technical dept today at work and he has said that its stated in the technical noted for the 225 engine we should be using 0/40 or 5/40. Thats the official line from RUK, hence im going back to the dealership tomorrow to have the new oil drained and refilled with 5/40
Will do....... one of the RTE's at London West is gonna swap the oil out tomorrow.

Ive confirmed this with one of the team leaders. If not ill go create hell at work on monday with the aftersales boys :p
ok guys......went down to London west and say Ray their Resident RTE who did a grand job or sorting out the oil issue. Also fitted the replacement fog light i needed to fit for free :)

This is the oil they put in.
