I have seen this somewhere on the forum, but can’t seem to find it now! The locking button on the passenger side has stopped working and the drivers side is temperamental.....has this happened to anyone else and if their car has had to go in for it how long is it in for??

Its a tempremental thing.

Seems to happen when moisture gets onto the optical sensor. Its covered under warranty though.

If the parts are available (they'll probably have to order them) the fitting time is around 45 minutes.
Or it was on the three time mine's been in to have the door locks changed.
The parts have now been modified.

Yep, mines just been in for the third time. 3 out of 5 doors so far, 22 months old :shock:

I've had my drivers side handle replaced. I think it's a very common problem with Meg's espicially the 225's.

Garage might have the part in but they'll need to match your paint and have it sprayed.

Took mine to Benfield Renault, someone said come back next week and we'll fit it. Went back and someone else said that they didn't know what i was talking about. Handle hadn't been ordered and even if it had it wouldn't of been painted! Bloody Renault!

The handles are not painted to body colour on the 225. Well not on mine anyway!!

Mine are also not colour coded, more of a satin silver finish.

I think the phase 2 may be colour coded on some models.

Mine aren't colour coded either. Mine has packed in on the back passenger door, although work sometimes. Think ill get it booked in soon. Its a common prblem on all meganes with handsfree locking. I had it on my old dci.

My bloody drivers side has come out in sympathy for the passenger side and stopped working also. I love Renaults they are shit
