Can you take some before and after shots, with some good shots of the gap between the wheel and the arch, like to see how much they drop the car. My 225 arrives next week and I am looking at fitting the eibachs too.

Cheers

yeah gonna be taking a load of before and after pics from different angles. I'm doing the backs myself and taking it to RS Tuning in Leeds for the fronts doing, the front are apparently a right pain in the RS to do so letting the renault specialists take care of it!

Mate, a top tip the left hand driveshaft has a tendancy to pop out so get some gearbox oil just in case (you only lose a bit though)
this used to happen old old R5's apparently. So even specialists pop it, its difficult once the hub nut is off to get the hub over the shaft freely when bringing the strut out.

And dont forget it takes a few weeks to settle down for the cup look!

I might have asked RG225 this before but phil are the rears just a case of undoing the strut tops in the boot and then jacking the car up till the spring drops out, then stick the new one in and lower the car back down? Last car I did springs on was a M reg corsa when I was about 18 lol

Here we go

lossen the wheel nuts both sides, try and park thefront wheels against a kerb or get some chocks (put in gear aswell)
This is because you have to raise up the whole back end.
So its easier with 2 trolley jacks or if not use an axle stand both sides

Once the wheels are off and its in the air, get some wd40 on the damper bolts as the picture below shows, leave for 5 minutes

Then undo them and retract the damper on both sides, be careful as the torsion beam will now drop down, and remember it sat on 2 jacks

The spring components will just pop out now, as below and just swop the spring over i took the rubber off the blue bump stop and it dropped the car another 10mm but your decision

to refit just do the reverse, its easier to get a second person to lift up the torsion beam while you pop the damper bolt back in keeping the springs seated correctly, or just struggle like i did

finished result :D

Phil I like to see "how to do the fronts" you can never have enough knowledge.

Jonseal, how much is it costing for fitment.

Phil, does the car sit level with the extra 10 mm drop?

Does anyone know whether there is a brake bias valve on the Meg thats affected by the rear ride height as I nearly destroyed my Saxo because the back end was too low and it biased all the braking to the rear (I think) :?
