fraid so matey, good ole Renault

Just buy a new sensor, ask Kwik fit to put it in for you (They usually do it for nothing) then disconnect your battery so your ECU resets itself and reconnect, the new sensor should then be picked up.

I did this with mine and it worked, saved me 40 quid.
G
well ill give it a go cheers mate do you rekon they will av em on the shelf
Make sure you put a bit of wd40 on your valves evertime you wash your car.

Wont stick then!

Bloody pain when it does though!
G

try putting boiling hot water on then first, then get a 10mm spanner and a pair of grips and just try easeing them of slowly,

i had the same prob with my last 225 wen i had two brake, its worth getting them fixed or putting new sensors on as the are a bloody good tool on the car ( ie good piece of mind wen my ali is driving it ) as you can never drive with a flat or half flat,

also wen you put the new caps back on weather they are plastic or metal, fill the cap up with some vasaline and them put them on, they should never stick then.
G
cheers mate will try that one to but im deff never gonna put metal ones on agian think i have learnt my lesson. just hope they keep the sensors on the shelf.

im i right in saying your gonna remove the batt when you fitt ma ik ,so this will reset the ecu and pick up the new sensor :) :)
yes mate, but not heard about the reset b4 but its coming out any way so you never know it might work.

I got one of these done under warranty at the stealers, it was 9 mth old with about 11,000 miles...

:)

Told them I knew it happens all the time and that it is a design fault, the guy from AA that had just towed me there also put his two pence in.....
G

you never know it might work, cost me £100 to have one done on my car,
G
£100 quid  what happened their
Is it not worth contacting customer services if they refuse to fix it???

It depends on how many miles on the car and how old but lets face it all the 225s are still in warranty. :?
G
i could give it a go its on a 54 plate and done ten k it should be well in warrenty
Mine has had plastic caps on since day 1, never had a problem
it cost me £70 for the sensor and £70 to have it fitted and re programmed but this was almost 2yrs ago now so they come down in price now as its a poxy shit design and the break almost every day.
