Hi guys,

just popping in to gain info about the 225 Megane for a potential track day project, think this will be a better car to chose over the 172/182 clio (?).

Quick question, would a 18x9 et25 rim fit, as I have these as track day wheels for my current car.

Thanks guys

You'll have more fun in the Clio but the Megane will be faster due to it's grunt out of the bends etc.

Plus, it's a bit cheaper to get more power out the Megane than it is the Clio.

Thanks for your input Steve.

I was at Brands today, met up with a mate who was tracking his ph2 172, had a pax ride and was very impressed. Handling and grip from the road tyres was amazing, esp as it was wet. Was my first ride in a clio (apart from the 200 at RSR at the Ring).

Your right about the tuning capabilities of the Megane.

Hi Sonny,

Good to see some london folk joining in.

If your going to track a megane, your really going to want an LSD - so your really going to want an R26 tbh. Bit more cash for sure, but it'll be worth it.

Friend of ours has a 200bhp 172 Cup that is track prepped - very good piece of kit - but he does have a fair bit of cash to throw at it. Lucky bugger!!
