Its the blueflame one + £80ish!
thought it looked familiar...
Phil, I think you will find that Georg at Reichhard gets most of his parts from us  We do not buy a single thing from them.

David.
Whilst i have your attention, i had my car serviced with yourselves
and realised afterwards that you put 10W40 oil in it (about 2 months)

I am not going to kick up a fuss about it, but is this ok as the book says it should be 5W40
cheers phil

p.s. my apologies if i offeneded you with previous comments, i presume neither companies actually manufacture, just resell the goods
ktec sell parts. They usually dont do their own specialised engine work like GDI, Hillpower or Angelworks do for the Renault Range.
not wishing to cause offence but you should expect too much from a wholesale distributor imo.

Meggerman, I am afraid you obvioulsy don't know much about what we do. We have spent nearly 2 years developing a turbo kit for the 172/182, we carry out probably more Renault engine rebuilds than any other tuner (we have 6 cars in the workshop at the moment for rebuilds including GT Turbos, Clio Williams and Clio 16v turbo), we have more of our own custom parts made than anyone else and we are just about to have a rolling road installed to help with the tuning side of things. Have a look here and yo will see our workshop http://www.k-tecracing.com/about.htm

Yes, we also sell parts but we also test alot of them first to make sure they work. I don't know of many "wholesalers" that do that.

David.
Can you answer my post above please reference the oil
phil
Sorry Phil, I will check with our service manager tomorrow and let you know about the oil that was used.

David.
My receipt says 10W40, there is no knocking or noise just worried it might cause problems with this synthetic /semi-synthetic malarky oil companies go on about
also wether or not it is too thick for running thro the turbo

cheers phil
Its OK Phil I would certainly not expect any problems what so ever by using a 10w 40. It is quite common to use a 15w 50 or even a 10w 60 on the Mitsubishi Evos when the book recommends a 5w 30. The main difference between a 5w and 10w is that the 5w is designed to work efficiently from -25 degrees where the 10w is designed to be efficient from -20 degrees.

David.
Ok sounds good enough for me,
another question

does the oil filter from a williams clio/ 1.8 16v fit the 225?
they seem to be the exact size my mate gave me 3 new ones
but i dont want to risk damaging the one on it just to check
cheers phil
I am at home at the moment but I will check this for you tomorrow.

David.
Meggerman, I have just read the first sentence of my reply to you and it may seem I am having a pop at you. Sorry if it seems that way, I was just letting you know there is more to us than you may think. Please don't take offence as it was not meant to offend :D

David.
I remember when i had it serviced, there was a lad in there putting together a clio engine with a turbo conversion.
Trust me it seems a busy place and lots of knowledge, i'd kill to run a business like that, i'd much rather be getting my hands dirty in an engine than in the army working on comms sytems!
well seem to be ok with everything they done for me
and im down there quite a bit david and the rest are a good bunch of lads.

so they better do a good job when they service my car on friday
Craigy, don't worry we will look after you

Phil, the 225 oil filter is a different part number to the Williams/1.8 16v filter so for the sake of a few pounds I would fit the oe filter with each oil change.

I have checked and we have used 10w 40 in your engine but I will galdly do a free oil change for the 5w 40 if you would like. Let me know what you would like to do as I will fit you in anytime for this.

David.
will i be getting the 5w 40 oil in mine david

i know you will look after me mate

ps sent you an email or one for richard

see you on friday mate

That is very good of you indeed, and would give me peace of mind
To be honest it just didn't seem to perform as good as before, but it could be phsycological

Can i come down friday morning? i have to pick the kids up at 2:30pm
will be a good opportunity to have a look at the exhausts you have
cheers phil
