Gear oil is 2.1 litres, I changed the engine oil inthe r26 today and noticed both mine ar weeping. I'll speak with my local garage next week.

part 7 ??

 

Thanks C, well I think its part 7 is anybody else able to confirm?? its leaking from round where the driveshaft comes out the gear box, do I need just the seal or is it in a bearing? looking at part 7 it looks just like a O ring. Would it be best to get parts 1 , 7 & 2??

 

No part 7 is the rubber spacer/buffer that sits in the back of the shaft intermediate bearing housing, diff shaft seals are under either gbox casings or internals on dialogys can't remember they're about £15 each can change them insitue easily. 75w80 for the box oil and don't deviate, personally I stick to castrol epx as the boxes seem to favour it.

 

ok thanks for that so back to mister c, can u look that up please?? as for oil I was going to go for Fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID SAE 75W-80 synthetic manual transmission fluid

 

Yes Titan sint is the one I used. A lot of people use it. Fred at btm also said it is what he uses so must be good. Tel

 

Thats the gear oil iv got waiting to go in mine!, loads of people use it as its meant to be good!

 

I'll go for that then, just need to confirm the oil seal I need now. Thanks for feed back.
